Bumblebee Macro Photography

This is one of the crisper and closer macros I have had the pleasure of capturing of a bee. I used my pop up flash which I rarely do outside, in this case it was necessary as the extension tubes I was using for my macro lens allowed me to get pretty close and stated to block out my light. Fortunately the angle of the flash was in a good spot to help and it brought out quite a bit more detail which can be tough when dealing with a fairly shallow depth of field.

That level of detail in such small animals has always attracted my attention and I wish at some point I could do this type of macro photography. Regards
