Hello hivers!

Happy friday to all, here I am again sharing my market day in this wonderful community the #marketfriday inniated by a lovely @dswigle. Thanks for this maam coz it help me to think what to write for today.

Mostly ,my market day is when I recieved my husband salary ,yes! You read it right ,I am the one who holds my husband's salary but its not my decision anyway ,that his decision haha ,he just asking me his two weeks allowance. His salary is every 15th and 30th day of the month.Since he trusted me his money ,ofcourse he must lol!,I am the one who do the budgeting.

How do I budget my husband's salary?

When I got his money ,I separate his two weeks allowance,I separate something for our savings but for now ,we had a debts that needs to be paid so from savings it became for our debts. Then I make sure to separate some amount for the other debts like the money we borrowed everytime we are running out of budget and the rest was for our two weeks budget.

My way of budgetting everytime I had a market day is I make sure to make a list for the things we needed but you know temptations is always there ,even if we really don't need it ,I used to buy it and it ruined my budget.Thats why sometimes I asked my nephew to do groceries and buying our viand coz I easy to be tempted. And somethimes,I was'nt able to have a list for the things we needed and I will just remember it when I already in the store.

After having a grocery ,I went upstairs of that mall where I had my grocery to buy a pair of slippers for my kids. There slippers are already old and needed a new one ,so I bought 2pairs for them.

In the wet market ,I was looking for some fresh fish and I bought 2kilos of it.

Then I was looking for a dried fish.I don't know if I am only the one who always look for a salty side dish in every meal haha.
Actually ,our town was selling the low prices of dried fish than the other town and some of the residence in the other town are visiting here for this.

As I checked my list and it all done ,I went to bakeshop to buy some bread.
You know what when I was a kid ,the bread is the most delicious food I ever known ,yes everytime my parents went to the town ,bread is the only thing we asked from them .Even if my mom was already far, anyway we are living at the mountain with no stores available haha, even if she was far from our house ,we shouted her and asking for bread and my mom replied that she will buy 1 sack of bread and we are all excited for that haha but when she came home ,she had only a 1plastic bag of bread and I and my siblings are so happy for that.A kids little happiness haha.

IMG_20220815_132507_724.jpg

I bought some bread worth of $1 and 1 icecream for me ,as a treat for my self haha.

IMG_20220815_132855_395.jpg
I ate this while traveling going home,I only bought for myself coz the kids was having cough and its not good for them.

And thats it for my market friday ,I spent almost $40 for this including the fare.I was'nt able to take some photos one by one coz I got tired when I got home.

Spanish bread please!! I miss bread from the Philippines. I grew up loving bread because my grandma had a bakery business when I was younger.

The dried fish - that's so delicious! I didn't like dried fish until I went to college. I missed that! Going to the market and going to the dried fish section. I can still imagine the smell.

That is great that you have a budget and try to stick to it. I used to have a budget and would get everything, but, would try to find the best deals. Any money I had leftover for the week, I kept in a jar (or can) and after a while, I would buy something nice for the house with the bonus money. Or we would go somewhere special that we didn't go regular. I never ate out, so maybe a dinner out.

It was fun that way. It was a challenge to find the best deal. :)

You did a lot of shopping and I hope you got everything you need. I like the water also. I grew up next to the Atlantic and it is a wonderful existence. I hope someday you get to live close to the water.

Great job and I believe the best person to handle the money should do it, for the benefit of the family.

Thank you for participating in #MarketFriday! I appreciate the time and effort that goes into putting a post together for the challenge. It is with great pleasure that I read through and realize how much we have all tried to include things in our world that may be unique to the area. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for them. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the week has found you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it?
