Just a humble Sunflower Photography post 🌻🌻🌻

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all doing great ❀️.

You know I dont post here too often because I consider my Phone Photography isnt something out of extraordinary. And I'm honest, I dont say it just because. I do know it. πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
And everytime I'm thinking of this community, it comes to my mind all these great photographies I've seen over the years, really pieces of art.
So yeah...

Anyways, from time to time, I feel brave enough to share something with you here. πŸ˜πŸ’›
This time is just a couple of photos starring The Sunflower. 🌻🌻
The photos are taken about two weeks ago, to a field close to my home.

I didnt have much access to it, thats why my photos are taken only from one angle.
I played a little with contrast, exposure, saturation etc. Basic edit tools my phone has. (And I'm guessing yours too).
The photos are taken with my Samsung S21 Ultra.

Here I show you a few shots. In the left, is the original photography. And then some edited versions.
Do you have a favorite?

As you already noticed, I was really happy to try "roof" filter on these photos. I loved this red color on my Sunflower photos.
I personally think they look really cool. But thats just me. πŸ˜„

Most of the photos are unedited, but very often I take my photos using Food Mode to have vivid, much powerful colors. Is this bad? I dont like to use Pro mode, I dont know how to use it properly (sometimes it works). I dont get clear shots. The focus jumps before I can decide on which element to use it and honeslty, I'm pretty satisfied with what I get. 😁

So what do you think? Overall, I think some photos are "lovely" and they can make room for nostalgia. Nostalgia to those days, being young, with other kids and wandering the sunflower fields.
We used to do that all the time. And ofc, eating raw sunflower seeds. Sometimes, we would take home a few, wait a couple of days to be more dry and then we would gather (all the kids), eating sunflower seeds and having endless child-ish talks. πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—
Ohhh time, why are you flying so fast?....

Take care πŸ’—

Food mode? That's a fantastic idea. What a beautiful selection of photos. I love sunflowers. Your camera and skill has really done them justice. As for eating the seeds raw, off the sunflowers, delicious

Hey, thank you so so much for your lovely comment. πŸ’—
Yes, food mode. 😁 Gives the photos an extra boost in colors and exposure.

Raw sunflower seeds are the best and for me, they're a bridge to childhood. πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸ’›πŸ’›
Only their smell brings me back to those no-worry-old times. ❀️

Ohhh time, why are you flying so fast?...

I'm already tired of asking this question that nobody answers...
The photos are excellent, I like them a lot. So do the sunflowers, how wonderful!

A personal opinion. I don't know if it's shared by Photography Lovers. It doesn't matter what you take the photos with if they are correct, normal, convey something, and give pleasure to the viewer. Because Photography Lovers means those who love photography, right? I don't think it is the exclusive place for professionals only, because it would be boring and intimidating for amateur photographers like us, who we are also photography lovers.

I love nostalgia, and childhood nostalgia is the most enjoyable.

I hope you take many more photos on your future trips!
Have a nice summer ahead!

That is my friend, a question without answer, for many of us...

Yes, I think your thoughts are right, about photography lovers.
What I was trying to say is that I feel more empowered and motivated to post in my regular to-post-communities, like homeedders, foodies, healthyhappykids, pinmapple, pets, etc.
I feel more comfortable to post there, I feel I can really contribute with something (like a healthy recipe for kids or education things), because I know more about those topics.
Because I'm not an expert in photography, I dont feel to post here as often as I do in other communities.
It is my pleasure to share my "nothing out of the extraordinary" photos, there's no doubts. Its just how I feel.
Surely is not wrong for us, amateurs to post, but I prefer to come here and see "wow" pieces of art. I'm sure you know what I mean.
I do love to photograph a lot. I always have my phone open only to take shots πŸ˜„ and I love to share them with you all. As you said this is what photographylovers mean. We love to take pictures and capture life. ❀️

Thank you for your encouragement comment and your thoughts.
And yes yes, promise to take photos where I'll go. 😁

Yes, he's too cute alongside the huge sunflowers πŸ˜…

I want to plant one next summer as well. This year it was too late for us. Though we have this field near by. However, it feels different when you're taking care of the plant, especially kids. What a great experienxe for kids right? 🌻

I love sunflowers, I think that the concept itself of a flower that follows the sun, is just fascinating! How nice to have child memories from such wonderful fields. Myself I have only seen once, such a field and it was truly magnificent!
As for your photography, it is just fine. You have what it takes concerning your framing and choosing subjects and there is only the technical part that you fall short but that's the easy part :)

If you want my opinion I wouldn't even suggest a dslr (which obviously could help a lot), you camera phone is descent enough. If you have the time to spend in a few tutorials and the zest to experiment a bit, you can see your photography rising to the next level. A free app like the Adobe Lightroom for mobile is all you need :)

Have a lovely August!

Thanks for such a lovely comment. Appreciate your sincere thoughts.

Even though I wanted a dslr and wanted to buy one, I realized its just not the moment. My hands and eyes are always on my kid (time too) πŸ˜… so having a camera its not reliable. I dont see myself with a camera and a child. At least not at the moment.
I'm not sure if this makes sense for you but for me it does.

I will check that app, thank your for the recommandation. 😊😊

And thanks again for.stopping by and leaving your commemt, I do appreciate cause I know you meant all of it.

Cheers from.Romania

Natural is always the best totally agree πŸ’―, but this time my mind was taken away with editing and ended by liking the red ones haha πŸ˜†.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and thank you for being sweet ☺️☺️
