A messy life and a glimmer of light
Friends, how are you all? I hope you are all having a good day. Actually, life doesn't always go the way we want it to, right? Sometimes it feels like the world around us is too dark, and we are waiting for some magic. I think maybe someone will come and fix everything.
Today, looking at these pictures, I remembered my own life. That old tin roof, the light of a lonely tube light, and a simple house standing in the darkness—this is the reality of many of us. Looking at these pictures, it seems like how lonely life's struggle really is. We often look for glitter, but the real life is hidden in this dust and the smell of sweat.
Today, I remember that famous saying of Sandeep Maheshwari— “If you are looking for that person who will change your life, then take a look in front of the mirror.” What an infallible truth, isn't it? We spend our whole lives reaching out to outsiders, but we never think once about the infinite power that is hidden within ourselves. From these images and this cry in my mind, a few lines came to mind:
A single lamp is burning in the house; no one needs it.
Why look for people outside? No one will lend a hand,
You will have to fight for yourself today, and you will spend the dark night.
Maybe your dilapidated cottage, no pride,
Call on the lion inside you now.
No one will come to change your forehead,
You will have to hold the rudder of your own boat in your hands.
Just once, dare to look in the mirror,
Regain the courage that has been lost within you.
The person smiling on the other side of the mirror is your victory,
Give all the weight to him; only then will he be afraid.
After reading the poem, look at that picture again. Do you see that bike parked in the corner? But it is ready; you just need the strength of mind to get on it. We always blame the situation. We say that we are poor, we have no money or opportunities. But to be honest, there will always be adversity. Like that dilapidated house, our life may be messy, but the light inside that house is yours to light.
I have understood with my own life that since the day I stopped hoping on others, I have found peace. When I stand in front of the mirror and look into my own eyes, a strange stubbornness works. It seems that I will never let this person lose.
So I will tell my friends one thing: do not lose faith in yourself. It is much braver to dream while listening to the sound of rain on that creaky tin roof than to dream while sitting on an expensive sofa. The person standing on the other side of the mirror is your real hero. Do not neglect him. From today, at least, learn to take responsibility for yourself. At the end of the day, you will write the ending of your story yourself. Everyone, be very good, and rekindle that extinguished fire within you.
