Volunteering in the Amazon Rainforest, first ripe papaya

Look at these beauties, growing right in my backyard!
The first papaya is harvested and the biggest ones are yet to come!

Everyday a new miracle here at the Permaculture Institute where I am living now; new fruits to discover, we are surrounded by an abundance of medicinal plants and by wise people that still know how to use them, we make roofs from leaves, we see snakes at night -and some are poisonous- and so many stars... and papayas, cacao and coffee grow in our backyard!
