Looks similar to the beetle I've described here recently, definitely the same family (Cerambycidae), so I wouldn't be surprised that it was responsible for your coconut tree destruction. To be precise, its larvae. Those burrow in wood (some species can even eat wooden house).

this is one seriously badass looking insect, like one of nature's military grade weapons- for sure same family as in your post which was very nice. i couldn't vote for it there so i am doing so here. i have great respect for the life-death cycle in nature so i appreciate the importance of insects such as these. but not as much as i appreciated our best coconut tree
