I Just Had To Look Back Again.

Hello, People! It's my first time posting here and I hope you get to enjoy.

So, it's my birthday today! And excitingly, this day last year, I joined the hive family! I must say, I have learned so many things within this past year.

So, as I checked the time yesterday, waiting for the time get to 12.am, so many things ran through my head.

Growing up as a young girl, I was someone people would call vibrant and cheerful. My dad would always talk about me anywhere; talking about my intelligence and all.

But everything stopped when I clocked 12. That year, my whole world shattered right before my eyes. I lost my mom.

As far as I can remember, I didn't see her healthy, it was from sickness to sickness. I even had to stop my education just to take care of her. After we lost her, I lost hope on life. I became a moody girl.

As time went by, I was no longer the cheerful person I used to be; I began to lock myself up in my own world. I found it hard to connect with others because of the rejections I faced.

As I thought about all these yesterday, a kind of feeling overwhelmed me. The excitement I had initially died down. I also remembered my dad and wishes he was still here with us. At least, he would have seen his first grandchild.

But, while the feeling of sadness try to overwhelm me, I started to count my blessings and questions kept popping up on my head.

"How was I able to come this far?"

Looking back, I never believed anything good could come out of me.

But today, I look at myself and smile. I truly overcame even when I thought I would never do.

I'm happy today and, I've chosen to have a lot of fun today!

It's my first birthday as a mom! 🥰🥳
