My Hive Presentation (ENG/ESP)

At some moments in my life, I have been linked to words like “eclectic” and “oxymoron,” referring to how diverse others may perceive me. However, aren't we all eclectic and diverse?
This is one of the reasons why I decided to write here today. But, let's start from the beginning:
My name is Zyanya, a 24-year-old girl from Valencia, Venezuela. I have one of those names whose possible nicknames are difficult to find. Most people just call me Zyanya, and when it seems complicated: Bella, my middle name. When my mom was 17, she read a novel called 'Azteca' by Gary Jennings and saw her future daughter name in it, which means "always." Very romantic.
Also, I study Medicine in Mérida, a small city in an immense state full of mountains and the famous Sierra Nevada. Living alone in Mérida as a student -and specially a medical one- has been a journey full of love/hate, like everything worthwhile. I moved when I was 19 and since then it's been learning to... Everything, basically.
Likewise, I have also been working independently as an English teacher for some years.
On the other hand, since I was little I have always had a strong inclination towards nature. Since the pandemic, I started cycling and hiking.
More before than now, I was one of those hippies who stopped all the time while walking in mountains to play, meditate a little and talk to everything around me. I'm a little sad to say that this sense of wonder for the slightest things mutates over time for some of us, however, I've come to understand that that's okay.
Other hobbies that I discovered in times of pandemic were collages. I spent days with a La Vida Bohème song in mind and my hands itched to do something with it. Since I had time to spare, I grabbed old magazines from my house bookshelf and started cutting out some letters. I let myself go and I ended up incorporating many details into a strange composition that in the end I realized had resulted in my first collage. Soon you will see some new ones here.
Anyway, that's a little bit about me. In order to stop being ashamed of this eclecticism that others point out -which is inherent to a 'mimiperson'- I decided to share here stories of what makes me who I am: what I like, some hidden feelings and even things that blow my mind away.
Finally, I want to return to the initial question: aren't we all eclectic and diverse?
Walt Whitman once said it:
'Do I contradict myself?
Very well then I contradict myself,
(I am large, I contain multitudes)'

En algunos momentos de mi vida, me han vinculado con palabras como “ecléctica” y “oxímoron”, refiriéndose a lo diversa que otros pueden percibirme. Sin embargo, ¿no todos somos eclécticos y diversos?
Esta es una de las razones por las cuales decidí estar escribiendo aquí hoy. Pero, comencemos por el principio:
Me llamo Zyanya, soy de Valencia, Venezuela y tengo 24 años. Tengo uno de esos nombres cuyos posibles apodos son difíciles de encontrar, la mayoría solo me llama Zyanya, y cuando les parece complicado: Bella, mi segundo nombre. Mi mamá a sus 17 años leyó una novela llamada Azteca por Gary Jennings y vio el nombre allí, que significa "siempre". Muy romántico.
También, estudio Medicina en Mérida, una ciudad chiquita en un estado inmenso repleto de montañas y la famosa Sierra Nevada. Vivir sola en Mérida como estudiante -y de Medicina- ha sido un viaje lleno de amor/odio, como todo lo que vale la pena. Me mudé cuando tenía 19 años y desde entonces ha sido aprender a... Todo, básicamente.
Asimismo, también trabajo desde hace algunos años de manera independiente como teacher de inglés.
Por otro lado, desde chiquita siempre he tenido una fuerte inclinación hacia la naturaleza. Desde la pandemia, comencé a practicar ciclismo y hacer rutas en montaña. Era, más antes que ahora, de esas hippies que se detenía a cada rato a tocar, meditar un poco y hablar con todo lo que me rodeaba. Me apena un poco decir que esa sensación de asombro por lo más mínimo muta con el tiempo para algunos de nosotros, sin embargo, entendí que eso está bien.
Otros hobbies que descubrí en tiempos de pandemia fueron los collages. Estuve días con una canción de La Vida Bohème en mente y me picaban las manos por hacer algo con eso. Como me sobraba el tiempo, agarré revistas viejas de mi casa y comencé a cortar letras. Así me dejé llevar y terminé incorporando muchos detalles en una composición extraña que al final me di cuenta que había resultado en mi primer collage. Pronto verán por acá algunos nuevos.
En fin, eso es un poco de mí. En aras de dejar de avergonzarme de ese eclecticismo que otros señalan (que es inherente a una 'mimiperson'), decidí compartir aquí historias de lo que me hace yo: lo que me gusta, algún que otro sentimiento escondido y cosas que me vuelan la cabeza.
Por último, quiero retomar la pregunta inicial: ¿no todos somos eclécticos y diversos?
