On Friday I went to the botanical garden of my city for the first time, it is incredible that with more than 30 years I have never visited such a mythical place, when he attended others that are not in my city, I feel that the excuse of not having been able to going beforehand is difficult to access because even though it is located in the same city where it was located, access is very complicated.

The botanical garden of my city has a very beautiful event that happens once a year and it is the flowering of the "Handroanthus serratifolius trees" but better known in my area as the curarires, the botanical garden of my city has more than 108 hectares of these trees , its flowering fills acres with a beautiful and imposing "sea of yellow flowers".

The flowering of these curarires is an event highly anticipated by the people of my city since visually it is something sublime and people take advantage of both to live the experience of seeing this spectacle and immortalize it in photographs, videos and memories.

Despite the fact that these trees bloom once a year, there is no exact date for the event but it itself occurs between May and April, although it must be added that in order to prevent the flowering of all the trees simultaneously and the long-awaited sea For yellow flowers, ideal weather conditions must be given, in a few words the first rains must fall between the beginning of the corresponding days, thus, consequently, the conditions are not always given for the aforementioned event.

Now, let's talk a little about the experience, but not before saying something that you already mentioned vaguely in previous paragraphs, the flowering is so beautiful that people go to take pictures or professional audiovisual productions, to make professional productions the botanical garden charges entrance specials ranging from $5 to $15.

The general costs to enter the Botanical Garden range from $2 for adolescents and adults, $1 for children over 5 years of age and children under 5 and adults over 60 years of age do not pay tickets, in the same way there are special prices for groups schoolchildren who unfortunately forget their prices.

My experience

As I mentioned, for this phenomenon to occur to the magnitude that we all want and to have a carpet of yellow flowers, the conditions must be realized and this year 2023 they did not occur in their entirety, the flowering was partial and not all the hectares managed to flower. Despite the fact that it was not given in its entirety, I was able to enjoy the stay of the place, and enjoy other areas of the place.

In my particular case, due to its complicated access, but it was not impossible, I went with a free route provided by the mayor's office of my municipality and I only had to pay the entrance fee of $2, but the negative side is that they only gave us two hours to tour the place and it is very little time to be able to enjoy so many things that can be done in the place.

I can conclude that the experience of contact with nature was great for me and despite the fact that the flowering was not complete this year, it is a natural event that I recommend going if you are in the city at the right time.

El día viernes fui por primera vez al jardín botánico de mi ciudad, es increíble que con más de 30 años nunca haber visitados tan mítico lugar, cuando he asistido a otros que no se encuentran en mi ciudad, siento que la excusa de no haber podido ir con anterioridad es el difícil acceso del mismo porque a pesar que se encuentra en la misma ciudad donde radicó su acceso es muy complicado.

El jardin botanico de mi ciudad tiene un evento muy hermoso que ocurre una vez al año y es la floración de los árboles Handroanthus serratifolius pero mejor conocidos en mi zona como los curarires, el jardín botánico de mi ciudad tiene más de 108 hectáreas de estos árboles, su floración llena hectáreas de un hermoso e imponente "mar de flores amarillas".

La floración de estos curarires es un evento muy esperado por las personas de mi ciudad ya que visualmente es un algo sublime y las personas aprovechan tanto para vivir la experiencia de ver dicho espectáculo e inmortalizarlo en fotografías, videos como recuerdos.

Pese que la floración de de dichos árboles es una vez al año no hay un fecha exacta del evento pero él mismo ocurre entre mayo y abril, aunque hay que añadir que para que ocurra en simultáneo la floración de todos los árboles y se el tan esperado mar de flores amarillas se deben dar las condiciones climatológicas ideales, en pocas palabras tiene que caer las primeras lluvias entre principio los días correspondientes así por consecuente no siempre las condiciones se dan para que ocurra mencionado evento.

Ahora bien, hablemos un poco de la experiencia pero no sin antes decir algo que ya menciona vagamente en párrafos anteriores, la floración es tan hermosa que las personas van a tomarse fotografías o hacer producciones audiovisuales profesionales, para hacer producciones profesionales el jardín botánico hace un cobro especial de entrada que van desde los $5 dólares hasta los $15.

Los costos generales para entrar al jardín Botánico van desde los $2 para los adolescentes y adultos, $1 para los niños mayores de 5 años y los menores de 5 años y adulto mayores de 60 años no pagan entradas, de igual forma hay precios especiales para grupos escolares que lamentablemente olvide sus precios.

Mi experiencia

Como lo mencione para que este fenómeno se de a la magnitud que todos deseamos y tener una alfombra de flores amarillas las condiciones deben darse y este año 2023 no se dieron en su totalidad, la floración fue parcial y no todas las hectáreas lograron florecer, pese que no se dío en su totalidad logre disfrutar la estadía del lugar, y disfrutar de otras áreas del lugar.

En mi caso particular por su complicado acceso mas no imposible fui con una ruta gratuita que prestó la alcaldía de mi municipio y solo debí cancelar la entrada de $2, pero el lado negativo es que solo nos dieron dos horas para recorrer el lugar y es muy poco tiempo para poder disfrutar de tantas cosas que se puede hacer en el lugar.

Puedo concluir que la experiencia del contacto con la naturaleza fue genial para mi y pese que la floración no fue total este año es un evento natural que recomiendo ir si estás en la ciudad en el momento indicado.
