Feel Good | A Dawn's Embrace | Phone Photography-88

The countryside always drives me home. That's my inner comfort on any given day. I am currently in my village, and with the onset of winter, I am enjoying homegrown veggies and fruits.

At the first hints of winter's vibes in Odisha as early as November, I found myself immersed in the rhythm of my ancestral village and Nature thereof. It's a day that unfolded like a gentle poem, arousing my dormant happiness.

I wake up to a beautiful dawn. In this rural sanctuary, I found myself engrossed with dewdrops-kissed splendor. The air was crisp, carrying the faint scent of dew-laden earth, and the silence was profound—a perfect setup for meditation at early morning. How beautiful that could be-- your being is intertwined with a natural setup. Breathing deeply, I felt revitalized.

That primal connection with Nature you can only get in either the countryside or maybe in the Himalayas. The relentless synthetic urban setup, always-busy schedules, or the digital hum do not allow humans to consolidate their fragmented version into an integrated one. When everything is defined as GDP(Gross Domestic Product), I am looking for GEP(Gross Empowerment Product), the rural life intertwined with Nature offers me that without having to ask for it.

Venturing out at the break of day, I captured a few shots of flowers with my smartphone—the dew drops are clearly visible on the petals of these marigold flowers. This year, the marigold flowers have not grown up to the expectations, I dont know what went wrong this year. Anyway, the cluster of marigolds glowed with a yellowish shade, and their orange vibrancy echoed the sun's rays.

These photographs weren't just images; they were frozen moments of ephemerality and spontaneity of life, capturing the fleeting dance between life and decay.

In philosophical terms--"No man ever steps in the same river twice." perfectly explain these shots. Each flower, in its momentary perfection, underscored the impermanence of all things, urging us to savor the present before it becomes a past memory.

A winter day in my village, and how could I miss lighting a bonfire? So to ward off the morning cold, I lit a bonfire at dawn, gathering dry twigs and branches from my garden. The flames leaped upward as visible in the shots, casting a warm, flickering glow that chased away encroaching cold. I could feel the heat seeping into my body; what a satisfying experience it was.

To be continued.......

Thank you.
