Hello everyone, today I'm taking you to Burano Island , a small fishing village and island in Venice , Italy, about 11 kilometersHello everyone, today I'm taking you to Burano Island, a small fishing village and island in Lagoon Vaux, Italy, about 11 kilometers from Venice. It's world-famous for being the "Candy Island," known for its brightly colored buildings, as you can see in the picture.

According to history, the reason the houses are painted in such bright colors is to help the fishermen see their homes, which are often shrouded in fog on their way home due to the many islands in the sea surrounding the area.

The islands have been preserved for decades, and the vibrant colors we see are due to repainting every two years. The houses are painted a different color on each side every day – a strict rule. These colorful features are what attract tourists to this town.

This was the second island we visited on our boat trip. As I mentioned, the colorful island caught our eye throughout the boat ride, and the closer we got, the more exciting it became.

You can see it with the naked eye even before the boat docks. Upon arrival, we disembarked, with a limited time of about 45 minutes. We visited during the summer in early August, so the weather was quite hot.

This place is always busy with tourists, likely day trips or groups staying here. As we walked in, we saw the colorful houses, which were very interesting, and I took many photos to share with everyone. We continued walking along the canal.

Along the canal, there was a wooden bridge crossing to the other side. Many people were taking pictures here, enjoying the beautiful view. We walked along the canal until we reached this square.

In the center was a large open area, the only square on the island of Borano. This square was called Piazza Baldassare Galuppi, named after the world-famous composer who was born on the island.

The atmosphere around the square was filled with restaurants, cafes, and shops selling local products, especially the famous handmade lace of the island.

It was lunchtime, and we were hungry, so we looked for a restaurant nearby. We found one that looked like it wouldn't be too crowded. Inside, it wasn't very busy, so we each ordered a dish – black spaghetti, a famous Venetian dish.

We sat and enjoyed our meal, ordered refreshing drinks, and then left to explore the area.

The shops were colorful and eye-catching. As I mentioned, Venice is famous for its unique lace, so you saw lace shops everywhere. Our trip wasn't boring at all because of the vibrant colors of the houses and places. Even though it was hot, we enjoyed taking pictures and forgot about the heat.

As our meeting time approached, we hurried back to the boat, our meeting point. We walked and took pictures along the way.

The other tourists who came with us started leaving, and we boarded the boat to our final island. During the journey, I took more photos to show everyone the continued vibrancy of the place.

Thank you for sharing the story of this island. I often see it on social media, but I never knew the story behind it or why the houses are painted in such bright, vibrant colors.

Your trip to the island is truly beautiful. Seeing the colorful houses in person makes the experience even more special and unforgettable.
