Greetings Wednesday walk community, I am new participating in this community and I come to present a record that I want to share with you, as it is about two unique sites for which I have passed many times, located in the Venezuelan town of Cabimas, specifically in the rosary street.

I had not passed by here for a while, as it is an alternative way to get to my work, I work as a teacher, my workplace is located where you see the tank that protrudes from the roofs of the first photo, then I got the surprise that the site that was once abandoned the municipality has given maintenance work, also what for me was a single square in reality are two.

These are two squares, each dedicated to local heroes who fought in the last battle for the independence of Venezuela, these characters are known as "Sergeant" Antonio Borjas and "first lieutenant" Tomas Vega, both characters are known for being descendants of the first families who settled in this town as part of the repopulation at the time of the Spanish crown in the mid-eighteenth century.

The battle that sealed Venezuela's independence is known as the naval battle of Lake Maracaibo. The province of Maracaibo was the last province that remained loyal to the Spanish crown and was against the national integration plans proposed by Simón Bolívar, who is known as the founding father of Venezuela.
