Leyendo Crónicas marcianas de Ray Bradbury
Encontré este libro hace un tiempo. Creo que se lo regalaron a mi papá pero no lo leyó y estaba en la biblioteca. Así que, lo comencé a leer hace un tiempo y ya le llevo más de la mitad. Es bastante interesante y varias historias del encuentro entre marcianos y humanos (que es de lo que va el libro: la conquista de Marte) son interesantes.
Más que ciencia ficción podríamos decir que es fantasía. Poca ciencia hay en el libro, es más una crítica social y fantasía de la buena con un lenguaje poético y evocador.
Esta edición del libro fue editado en Cuba y en la sección de datos del libro no se da información de la fecha de publicación del original. Esta versión fue editada en 2001. Tiene una extensión no muy larga, 252 páginas, que si se lee a 40 paginas por día, en unos 6 días se podría añadir un libro más a la lista de libros leídos.
El original fue publicado en el año 1950. Se nota por la manera en cómo se representa la familia tradicional de esa epoca: las mujeres son poco importantes y son solo asistentes del hombre, es decir, es machista. Además, el racismo es un tema tocado en la narración.
Aunque aun no lo he terminado, realmente lo recomiendo. Sólo se debe tener en cuenta la fecha en que se publicó el libro y que si se espera ciencia ficción pura o hasta suave, apenas se encontrará. Pero si se prefieren las historias fantásticas, sorprendente, narradas con estilo algo clásico, seguro se puede disfrutar del libro y pasarla bien.

I found this book a while ago. I think they gave it to my dad but he didn't read it and it was in the library. So, I started reading it a while ago and I'm already more than halfway through. It is quite interesting and several stories of the encounter between Martians and humans (which is what the book is about: the conquest of Mars) are interesting. More than science fiction we could say that it is fantasy. There is little science in the book, it is more a social criticism and good fantasy with poetic and evocative language.

The original was published in 1950. You can tell by the way the traditional family of that time is represented: women are unimportant and are only assistants to the man, that is, it is sexist. Furthermore, racism is a topic touched on in the narrative.
Although I haven't finished it yet, I really recommend it. You just have to take into account the date on which the book was published and that if you expect pure or even soft science fiction, you will hardly find it. But if you prefer fantastic, surprising stories, told in a somewhat classic style, you can surely enjoy the book and have a good time.
