Toucan, the mulberry thief

Last week, I went to visit my mother in the countryside. At the small farm where she lives, there are many fruit trees, and this time of year the mulberry trees are full of fruit. I love mulberries, and of course, every time I go there, I bring some home. My girlfriend made a few jars of jam this week, they turned out delicious!

However, when I arrived at my mother’s house, she was jokingly complaining that the toucans were stealing my mulberries haha. And not just the toucans, but also the jacus, that kind of wild chicken that actually flies. Well, I took some photos of the toucan, and my mom sent me a few others. She always makes a point of showing that the toucans are there eating my mulberries; maybe it’s just her fun way of telling me I should visit more often.

Na semana passada, fui visitar minha mãe lá no interior. No sítio onde ela mora, há muitas árvores frutíferas, e nesta época do ano as amoreiras estão carregadas de frutas. Eu amo amoras e, claro, sempre que vou lá, trago algumas para casa. Minha namorada fez alguns potes de geleia essa semana, ficaram deliciosas!

Porém, quando cheguei na casa da minha mãe, ela estava reclamando, de forma divertida, que os tucanos estavam roubando as minhas amoras haha. E não eram só os tucanos, mas também os jacus, aquela espécie de galinha que realmente voa. Bem, eu tirei algumas fotos do tucano, e minha mãe me mandou outras. Ela sempre faz questão de mostrar que os tucanos estão lá comendo minhas amoras, talvez seja apenas um jeito divertido dela dizer que é pra eu voltar lá mais vezes.
