The common poetry [EN/PT]

Today was market day here in my city, as it is every Sunday. It had been a while since I last walked through this place. There’s always something interesting to buy, even among so many strange and old things. Well, old things don’t necessarily have to be weird, but I think you get what I mean.

I really enjoy walking through the market, which takes place on one of the city’s avenues, closed off especially for this event every Sunday morning. The diversity of things and people there is, in itself, a kind of poetry, the poetry of the Brazilian spirit. It’s beautiful to look at simple things with a poetic gaze, to notice the quiet beauty of ordinary people in this place.

Hoje foi dia de feira aqui na minha cidade, como todo domingo. Já fazia algum tempo que eu não caminhava por esse lugar. Sempre há algo interessante para comprar, mesmo em meio a tantas coisas estranhas e antigas. Bem, coisas velhas não precisam ser necessariamente esquisitas, mas acho que você entendeu.

Acho muito legal caminhar pela feira, que acontece em uma das avenidas da cidade, fechada especialmente para esse evento todos os domingos pela manhã. A diversidade de coisas e pessoas ali é, por si só, uma poesia, a poesia do brasileiro. É bonito olhar para o simples com um olhar mais poético, perceber a beleza comum das pessoas nesse lugar.
