Qurator's Photo Quest | High-Speed Photography - Aerial Acrobatics [EN/PT]

Perhaps we are so used to airplanes in our daily lives that we don't even realize how much an object weighing tons can be flying over our heads. It's one of the great achievements of human endeavor, without a shadow of a doubt.

Last year, I went to an aerobatics show here at my city's airport and took half a million photos. Okay, it wasn't that many, but I was very excited and recorded a good part of the show. It was the first time I'd seen anything like it, and I was impressed!

Piloting an airplane on your own is already very dangerous; imagine doing it with several other planes nearby and at high speed! Honestly, I wouldn't have the courage to do that. Pilots have to be cold-blooded to perform so many tasks and still come out alive at the end of the show.

I have no words to describe what I saw; what happened that day is still fresh in my mind. Oh, and I still have half a million photos to help me remember any details haha!

I've separated four of the photos I liked the most and decided to make this post, which is also my entry for the Qurator's Photo Quest competition, promoted by @qurator, with the theme of speed.

I hope you enjoyed these shots. I tried to make the most of everything that a beautiful Sunday afternoon sky has to offer. I'm not a professional photographer and I don't even have a very good camera, but I take some pictures because I really enjoy doing it and, over time, I intend to get better at it. Anyway, I really liked the results and I think I did a good job with the framing. I also made small adjustments to the images by editing brightness, shadows, etc., something very basic and intuitive.

Talvez já estejamos acostumados com aviões em nosso cotidiano, que nem percebemos o quanto o fato de um objeto que pesa toneladas pode estar sobrevoando nossas cabeças. É uma das grandes realizações dos feitos humanos, sem sombra de dúvida.

No ano passado, fui a um show de acrobacias aéreas aqui no aeroporto da minha cidade e tirei meio milhão de fotos. Ok, não foram tantas, mas fiquei bem empolgado e registrei boa parte do show. Tinha sido a primeira vez que vi algo parecido, fiquei impressionado!

Pilotar um avião por si só já é algo muito perigoso; imagine fazer isso com vários outros aviões por perto e em alta velocidade! Sinceramente, eu não teria coragem de fazer isso. Os pilotos precisam ter sangue frio para executar tantas tarefas e ainda saírem vivos no final do show.

Não tenho palavras para descrever o que vi; ainda está guardado na memória o que aconteceu nesse dia. Ah, e ainda tenho meio milhão de fotos para me ajudar a relembrar algum detalhe haha!

Separei quatro fotos que gostei mais e resolvi fazer este post, que também é minha entrada para o concurso Qurator's Photo Quest, promovido pelo @qurator, com o tema velocidade.

Espero que tenham gostado dessas capturas. Tentei aproveitar ao máximo tudo o que um céu lindo de um domingo à tarde tem a oferecer. Não sou um fotógrafo profissional e nem tenho uma câmera tão boa, mas tiro algumas fotos porque gosto muito de fazer isso e, com o tempo, pretendo me aperfeiçoar mais. De qualquer forma, gostei muito dos resultados e acho que caprichei no enquadramento. Também fiz pequenos ajustes nas imagens com edição de brilho, sombra etc., algo bem básico e intuitivo.
