Yumi, the Photogenic One [EN/PT]
This is Yumi, the cat of someone I’ve been getting to know, and I simply found this little animal’s ability to be photogenic incredible. It’s not enough for a pet to be beautiful. If they aren’t photogenic, how could we possibly show all their beauty to the world? Yumi is truly a beautiful, affectionate, and friendly little cat and, to be honest, she doesn’t even remotely have the personality we normally expect from a cat, considering how affectionate she is!
The name Yumi comes from a League of Legends character. I don’t know much about the game since I’ve never played it, but after looking up some pictures, I can definitely see the resemblance. Either way, I think the name is just as beautiful as the pet herself. It also reminds me a little of Meowth’s evolution from Pokémon, Persian. Maybe it’s just my imagination, but I can see a slight resemblance between them.
And I think that’s exactly what makes Yumi so interesting. Some animals simply seem to understand when a camera is pointed at them and manage to find the perfect pose without any effort. It almost seems conscious. Yumi has exactly that talent. With her calm gaze, affectionate personality, and such a striking appearance, it’s hard to take a bad picture of her. I think that, if it were up to her, I’d still have plenty of opportunities to photograph this little model and try to capture at least a little bit of all her beauty.

Essa é a Yumi, a gatinha de uma pessoa que estou conhecendo, e eu simplesmente achei incrível a capacidade desse animalzinho de ser fotogênico. Não basta um animal de estimação ser apenas bonito, se ele não for fotogênico, como poderíamos mostrar toda a sua beleza ao mundo? Yumi é realmente uma gatinha linda, carinhosa e simpática e, para ser sincero, não possui nem de longe a personalidade que normalmente esperamos de um gato, de tão afetiva que ela é!
O nome Yumi vem de um personagem de LoL. Eu não entendo muito desse jogo, pois nunca joguei, mas, olhando algumas fotos depois de pesquisar, realmente existe uma semelhança. De qualquer forma, acho o nome tão bonito quanto o próprio pet. Inclusive, ele me lembra um pouco a evolução do Meowth, do Pokémon, o Persian. Talvez seja apenas coisa da minha cabeça, mas consigo enxergar uma pequena semelhança entre eles.
E acho que é justamente isso que torna a Yumi tão interessante. Alguns animais simplesmente parecem entender quando uma câmera está apontada para eles e conseguem encontrar a pose perfeita sem nenhum esforço, parece algo consciente. Yumi tem exatamente esse talento. Com esse olhar tranquilo, esse jeito carinhoso e uma aparência tão marcante, fica difícil tirar uma foto ruim dela. Acho que, se depender dela, ainda vou ter muitas oportunidades de fotografar essa pequena modelo e tentar registrar um pouco de toda essa beleza.
