A church or a castle? [EN/PT]

A church or a castle? That was the question I used to ask myself whenever I passed by this church. Yes, although the architecture is quite similar, especially from a distance, this is actually a church. I have rarely seen a church like this around here, except in the state of Rio de Janeiro, up in the mountains. There are similar architectural styles there, but that area used to be where the royal family lived, so it makes more sense.
For a long time, I had wanted to take some photos of this church, but I had never been there to do so. I always passed by in a car. But this Sunday, without even planning it, I ended up taking my drone with me while I went fishing with a friend at a lake, and to my surprise, the church was right on the other side of the lake. It was pretty interesting because it had been a long time since I had flown my drone, and thanks to a last-minute suggestion from my girlfriend before we left home, I ended up bringing it with me. And I'm glad I did!
Well, it was a little difficult to see the flight screen because of the brightness, and that's something that has been bothering me from time to time. I don't know if there's anything that can be done about it, so I need to look into it, but despite the difficulty seeing the screen, I think these photos turned out pretty well. I tried to make the most of the lake in the background. I was on the other side of the lake, probably a little over 1 kilometer away, but I'm not exactly sure. It was a really cool experience, and my next mission will be to take some photos of this church at night, because it looks even more beautiful then. I hope you enjoy the photos!

It really does look like a castle😍 The architecture is beautiful and the lake view makes the photos even more special.

We appreciate your work and your publication has been hand selected by the geography curation team on behalf of the Amazing Nature AN Community. Keep up the good work!
Wow! That is one amazing piece of architectural art! And a church or a castle, good question, and at the same time, who cares, right? It looks simply amazing, and very moody how you shot it there! Love the first image!!!
Something else: did you know that the old Drone community has been archived and renamed Kdrone? As @ksteem has been suffering of a large lack of time ;-) I've taken over the Drone community, and it can now be reached here: https://ecency.com/created/hive-193236
Thanks for checking it out, and joining us!

Cool, right? It’s a very unusual architectural style here in Brazil. At least, I’ve seen very few that are similar to this one.
Ah! It’s nice to know that we have a new community around drones, I was missing that. I’ve already joined, and I’ll be making a few more related posts soon!
