El río es un hogar para una gran variedad de especies de ranas, muchas de las cuales son endémicas de la región. En este artículo, exploramos el mundo de las ranas del Río Morichal Largo, y cómo conviven con otros animales, como los búhos y sus crías, en el pantano como se los he documentado en mis dos artículos anteriores .

The Morichal Largo River is a river located in the region of Monagas, Venezuela, known for its beauty and the natural unity of its warm, deep waters, as the Waraos do not find them deep even according to their stories. La Diversidad de Especies de Ranas

Entre las especies más comunes se encuentran la rana arbórea (Rana temporaria), la rana difícil (Rana pipiens) y la rana sinistrensis (Rana sinistrensis).sip en especial la verde y estas son negro con gris y plata Cada especie tiene características únicas, como patrones de coloración, forma de cuerpo y hábitat pueden guardar sus renacuajos por varios años a la orilla del rio o pantano .

Owls and their young.

Owls are nocturnal predators found in the Morichal Largo River. La convivencia entre las ranas y los búhos es un ejemplo perfecto de cómo diferentes especies pueden coexistir en armonía. como dije arriba son parte del ecosistema de la naturaleza que no se ven afectadas aun o alteradas .Los dos grupos han desarrollado una relación de dependencia mutua, en la que los búhos dependen de las ranas como fuente de alimentos, mientras que las ranas dependen de los búhos para mantener la población en control. Esta relación puede ser utilizada como modelo para entender cómo diferentes especies pueden coexistir en un mismo entorno.

The coexistence between frogs and owls is a perfect example of how different species can coexist in harmony. as I said above they are part of nature's ecosystem that are not even affected or altered .The two groups have developed a relationship of mutual dependence, in which the owls depend on the frogs as a source of food, while the frogs depend on the owls to keep the population in control. This relationship can be used as a model to understand how different species can coexist in the same environment.

La Amenaza a la Supervivencia
A pesar de la belleza y la unidad natural del Río Morichal Largo, la supervivencia de las ranas y los búhos en el pantano está bajo amenaza. La destrucción de hábitat y la contaminación del agua pueden me han dicho también que en alguna ocasión se ven contaminadas estas aguas por las petroleras que están relativamente cerca de aquí en donde en varias oportunidades se han visto los derrames en estas aguas puras y vírgenes .

The Threat to Survival
Despite the beauty and natural unity of the Rio Morichal Largo, the survival of the frogs and owls in the marsh is under threat. Habitat destruction and water contamination may also have also told me that on occasion these waters are contaminated by the oil companies that are relatively close to here where on several occasions spills have been seen in these pure and pristine waters.

Conclusión
El Río Morichal Largo es un lugar mágico, donde la diversidad de especies y la convivencia entre ellas son un ejemplo perfecto de la belleza y la unidad natural. Las ranas y los búhos son dos especies que conviven juntas en el pantano,estas son de las dos especies que hablaré hoy ya que hay muchas más de las que hablaré el día de mañana en otro interesante post y que dependen el otro para sobrevivir.
