My Cleanplanet Activity for 10th of October 2024

Good evening Great Members of Cleanplanet. Hope you had a wonderful day.
When I got back from school this evening, I saw something quite normal these days: the wind spread garbage on my farm. Then being watchful for any sign of waste disposal, it didn’t take long before I picked a small waste bag and went to work. It appears that cleaning activities have been turned into a routine, and as expected, today was no exception.

I strolled through the farm to pick each of the wrappers individually. Each piece of litter reminded me why I do this: it is not only about me being clean for myself but for the environment as well for me to have clean surroundings. However, it was just a little bag of waste, and it felt good that I was contributing.

For some reason, it was pleasant to be outside during nighttime, so the task seemed rather therapeutic with cool evenings and no disturbances. How is it that you can find satisfaction in such a mundane task as just picking up trash? Somehow, the saying ‘everybody counts’ comes to mind, and as profound as those attempts are, they are the building blocks behind a change.

Before I was through, my farm was free from garbage all over again. And it’s not always that you have to carry a giant bag; simply spending just about 5 minutes with a small moveable waste bag can do the trick. We have to be smart and conscientious about the little things in our surroundings – like a used gum wrapper. Here are images of how I did it👇
