Here's how my week goes

Greetings everyone in this community! I'm so happy and glad to be here. It's my first time of posting here and from what I've seen so far, I've been missing out.

I never knew communities like this existed, maybe because I didn't check properly and that's because I've been so occupied lately with school works, engagements and so on.

I come back home everyday and I usually look for where to rant about how my day was apart from few close peeps of mine which usually know.

So, I got admission for my degree program after I might have finished my NCE (Nigerian Certificate in Education) program, and the journey has not been juicy like I thought and imagined, trust me.

I applied using direct entry i.e I started from year two (2) thinking that all the stress that comes from being a year one student will minimize, but no, the reverse is the case.

Over here in the University of Uyo, all I've seen so far are presentations here and there of which I don't know if it's so in other departments but the few I've seen are presentations.

My face and countenance shows how tensed I was 😁

Students are grouped to go make research on a particular topic or course and then present in the presence of other students and that serves as our continuous assessment.

Unfortunately for me, I was chosen as the group leader for group seven (7) and I had about 25 members in my group. It has not been easy at all. We had to meet almost everyday to discuss the way forward and how we can perform well.

Since I'm an English student, each groups were given different Drama and Novel text to read and analyze. The number of these texts ranges from 200 pages to 500 and so on.

It wasn't an easy task but we were able to do everything required and fortunately for my group, we presented on Monday. I'm so relieved and I'm as free as a bird because the whole thing was just choking me.

While I was presenting, I spoke ungrammatically because of how tensed and nervous I was but the good thing is that I said the correct thing immediately.

I have a video of that which I can't post here but after my presentation, I took pictures just for memory sake.

We should be leaving for Christmas break next week and I know that immediately we come back, we will be talking about exams 😁

I hope and wish to be ranting here more often. Thank you so much for having me. I really do appreciate.

Have a blessed day and do enjoy the rest of the week.

♥️♥️♥️

Nice one. This reminds me of my years in school how we would be working on group presentations and little projects. At first it's always very discouraging because of the negative attitude of some group members, but once you are able to scale through all that, the final result is always mind-blowing.

You're right. It's still so uptill now. Some students showcase lackadaisical and carefree attitudes towards group work and projects.

We tried though and I'm certain it will yield positive results.
Thanks for stopping by.
