Tulleys Tulip Fest • A Countryside Sea of Colors

Spring in the UK starts in March and ends in May. A beautiful season bursting with colors and life. Part of our life here is adapting and enjoying the four seasons as we come from a country that has only two seasons. To fully experience the beauty of spring we went to Tulleys Tulip Fields in West Sussex UK.

Come and join us today as we share with you different tulips that you may never have seen before and the beauty of spring in the UK. Welcome to Tulleys Tulip Fest.

1.jpg

Tulip season here starts from the end of March up to the end of April. This year they planted 1.2 million tulips with more than 100 different types. When visiting the farm booking is a must as most of the time they get fully booked.

The entrance fee will cost you £12.00 and they open from 9:30 am until 8:00 pm.
However, if you are in the UK and would like to visit today is the last day of the Tulip season. You would need to look forward to visiting next year's season.

For more details you can check their site below.

Tulleys Tulip Fest

From the entrance, there were already a lot of people taking photos. It may take a while before you could with this rusty old truck with beautiful yellow tulips at the back.

3.jpg

4.jpg

Here you just need to show your booking and then you are on your way to a taste of Holland. We didn't know what to expect, we have seen tulips but have never been to a tulip field.

5.jpg

We came across a cafe and food stalls which are Dutch-inspired but we were excited to see the tulips first. So we decided to explore the farm first and maybe have a bite later.

6.jpg

In this area, there are tulips for sale that you could plant a home and enjoy the beautiful flowers during springtime. It would be nice to have these flowers at home and maybe buy a bunch if you have a big garden.

7.jpg

8.jpg

To add to the charm of the farm they had vintage trucks beautifully decorated with tulips at the back. A great spot to have your photo taken.

An old Volkswagen Type 1 or rather called the Beetle is a great addition to the farm. Decorated with flowers it perfectly fits the theme of the farm.

Another highlight of the farm is this windmill which is a perfect background for a photo along with the gorgeous landscape.

Tulips are such lovely flowers! They bloom during springtime, adding pops of vibrant colors to gardens and fields. They come in a wide range of shades, from bright reds and yellows to soft pinks and purples. According to history were brought to the Netherlands from central Asia in the 16th century and quickly became a popular flower there. Today, people all around the world enjoy growing and admiring tulips. They make wonderful gifts and look beautiful in floral arrangements.

14.jpg

It was time to see the fields and we were lost for words the moment we got there. There were so many of them and could not decide which to look at first as they were all so beautiful.

15.jpg

We didn't know where to go from there and there were a lot of people but not too crowded during this time. We were very lucky though as it was a beautiful day and was not raining. Also, the weather was not too cold.

There were visitors dressed up for spring and some had costumes with them. It is a great idea for a photo you just need to find a spot with no people around which will be hard.

The Purple Circus tulip is a stunning and unique variety of tulips that feature deep purple stripes on white petals. It is a late-season bloomer and can grow up to 20 inches tall.

54.jpg

55.jpg

Golden Apeldoorn

The Golden Apeldoorn tulip is a beautiful and classic variety of tulip that features large, bright yellow blooms. It is a mid-season bloomer and can grow up to 24 inches tall. It is beautiful when the sun shines and looks like golden flowers gifted by the earth.

57.jpg

58.jpg

You could simply just get lost in this mesmerizing field. All the beauty surrounding you will make you forget for a moment the troubles that burden you.

59.jpg

60.jpg

It is a bit sad knowing that all these colors will soon die out as the season changes. It is best to enjoy every moment while they last but there is always next year to look forward to.

For some reason, I thought the Netherlands is the most known place for tulips but guess I was wrong! That makes me happy though, as we are speaking about some plants that are really not that demanding and should exist in more parts of the globe too. Awesome pics!

Oh, and if you haven't heard about Festival Mania community yet, consider it for further posts like this :)

That's what I also thought. Tulips Holland Netherlands is the place to go if you want to see a tulip field. I was very surprised they had one in the UK. I'll check out festival mania thanks 🙏

I also posted in IG which didn't get noticed 😆. The farm said to tag them in the post. Anyway it was a beautiful experience. They have events for every season to keep the business running all year round.
