I have written about the city of ancient Plovdiv before. You can look back at the blog. Today I want to focus on the other 5 hills. They surround the central part of the city, giving it a fairytale feel. This city is special to me because I was born here. I remember the heat in the summers and the taste of the real homemade food my grandfather used to produce.

I will not go into historical facts. If you want info comment and I'll be happy to reply!

Several of Plovdiv's hills have been deliberately removed over the years. I don't know who they're bothering, but it's pathetic and a mockery of history and natural heritage.

The tall monument you see in some of the shots is dedicated to a Russian soldier. At the moment many Bulgarian circles are protesting for its demolition. Of course because of the war in Ukraine...

I want to share with you that I started a photography business! I am very inspired because I organize photography trips for educational purposes in my country. We go to beautiful places like this where my students learn to shoot in manual mode in a day. HOW? With lots of practice!

THANKS FOR SHARING THIS STORY!

I took the shots with Canon EOS RP / 85 mm lens
