I was interested in the opinion of the parents when they see their photos in wide view

As a matter of principle, I do not photograph birthdays, christenings and weddings, with the exception of two families that our photography brought together. During the celebration, I shot in full frame with the idea during the turnaround to turn some of the shots into a cinematic look. The experiment was successful. Everyone loved the footage, and I was quite surprised. In Bulgaria, this style is very poorly developed, and I dare say no one photographs celebrations in this way.

What am I doing right now?

Well, I'm just experimenting. I show cinematography to different people who have never seen such pictures.

The birthday was to take place in a very beautiful yard, but unfortunately it was raining and people had decorated the living room of the house. I don't have much experience shooting lots of kids indoors with an external flash. My anxiety disappeared 2 minutes after I started shooting. It is really very important that you have seen your customers at least once.
If I had to give a piece of advice for shooting in a location like this, it would be to never point the flash directly at people. Turn it up. The light reflected in the ceiling or wall is much better. No red eyes and stressed children.
