The National Aquarium in Santo Domingo - Dominican Republic is located in a very large space with a privileged location in front of the Caribbean Sea. It is ideal for families with children and for all those who want to learn a little more about the marine fauna.

A huge Humpback Whale skeleton welcomed us. Then we continued walking and passed under a bridge that is like a kind of aquarium where if you look up and around you will see a variety of fish.

Hawksbill turtles, a lionfish, lobsters and sharks are some of the species we were able to observe. At the end of the tour and on the outskirts of the Aquarium, the green areas await you, when you pass them you will find the blue sea, from there you can contemplate it closely, it is a divine breeze and it is great for a picnic day or to take some great pictures. We went in the morning, but we were told that in the afternoon you can see wonderful sunsets.

The Aquarium is a very old structure, but you can tell that the staff who work there are concerned about keeping it well cared for the enjoyment of tourists and residents. It is well worth a visit if you travel to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
