This is my first time here, and today—Saturday—I want to introduce you to a very special cat I met. His name is Miel, and as you can see, he’s yellow and orange—the kind that’s known for being mischievous. However, this one was the opposite: calm, very lazy, and looked like a huge ball of fur 😸
Miel lives in the house where I was staying in Caracas. I was told that his owner recently passed away, and Miel seemed to miss him terribly. Cats grieve in their own way, just like people do, but they do miss their owners. Fortunately, the man’s wife took charge of him and three other kittens, though the latter were shyer and hardly ever showed themselves. She told me that Miel, like the others, was rescued from the streets, but what amazed me most was her size; it’s not common to see mixed-breed dogs this big and chubby. That said, I did notice that she ate quite a lot, and her food was nothing but “Gatarina.”

Es mi primera vez por acá y hoy sábado quiero presentarles a un gato muy especial que conocí. Su nombre es Miel y como ven es amarillo con naranja, de esos que tienen fama de traviesos, sin embargo éste era lo contrario; tranquilo, muy perezoso y parecía una enorme bola de pelos 😸
Miel vive en la casa donde me estuve quedando en Caracas, me contaron que hace poco su dueño falleció y Miel parecía extrañarlo muchísimo, ellos también sienten el duelo como las personas a su manera, pero si extrañan. Afortunadamente, la esposa del señor se quedó a cargo de él y de otros tres gaticos, éstos últimos eran más tímidos, casi no se mostraban. Ella, me contó que Miel al igual que los otros son rescatados de la calle, pero lo que más me asombró fue su gran tamaño; no es común ver mestizos así de grandes y gorditos, eso sí, me di cuenta de que comía bastante y su comida era solamente "Gatarina"
Miel at first he’d just watch me from a distance, as if to say, “Oh, a new human—let’s see how this goes 😂 It took about two days before I saw him again, and this time he did come over and let me pet him. To be honest, he was so fluffy and soft that I just wanted to squeeze him and never let go.
It turns out a lot of people know him; the lady gives drawing and painting classes at home, and the place is always full of kids and teens who come to her classes. So Miel has become everyone’s favorite; he’s so famous that he was even featured on a mural on one of the nearby streets. I’ll post a photo of the mural below so you can see it, hehehe.
These little animals are definitely therapeutic—they warm your heart, and their energy recharges you. Studies show they can lift your spirits and lower cortisol levels, so give your pets lots of hugs! For me, meeting this adorable celebrity was a truly lovely experience ❤️
Miel, al principio me miraba de lejos, así como diciendo: Aja, una humana nueva, vamos a ver qué tal 😂 Pasaron unos dos días hasta que lo volví a ver y sí se me acercó y dejó acariciar, la verdad provocaba apretarlo y no soltarlo de lo esponjoso y suavecito.
Resulta que mucha gente lo conoce; porque la señora da cursos de dibujo y pintura en la casa y eso se llena de niños y jóvenes que van a sus clases y pues Miel se ha convirtido en el consentido de todos; es tan famoso que hasta salió retratado en un mural de una de las calles cercanas, más abajo les dejo la foto del mural para que lo vean jejeje.
Definitivamente, estos animalitos son terapéuticos, alegran el corazón y su energía te resetea, está comprobando que son capaces de cambiarte el ánimo y reducir el cortisol, ¡Así que abracen mucho a sus mascotas!. Para mí haber conocido a esta adorable celebridad fue una experiencia verdaderamente linda ❤️
