Hi photography lovers,

Figured it would be a good idea to explain my method of photography to you guys since it's my very first post here on Liketu.

Each one of us has a certain approach to taking photographs. (sidenote: I shoot for my hobby, am definitely not a professional)

Some people always have their camera in automatic mode, others do everything completely manually and then there are those who are a bit in between.

Well, I belong to the latter category too. I hang a bit in between.

If I have a lot of time and the subject is suitable, I try to set everything fully manual and go exploring.
But if I want to shoot some photos quickly, I secretly put it on automatic mode.

Or I do not even bother to grab my camera and take the picture with my phone.
Because, admit it, you can take beautiful photos with that these days.

But today I felt like, and had time, to try some out.

I took the first three flower photos with the same lens and iso setting.
Only the aperture and shutter speed were adjusted each time.

Three times the same but still different.
Ranged from aperture f1.8 to f 22 and shutter speed from 1/1000 sec to 1/4 sec.

I used my Canon M50, 50mm lens and a Meike 10mm macro ring to take the photos of the flowers.
And the photos from my camera were taken with my Iphone 14.

I also edited the last flower photo in Adobe Lightroom, which allows you to change your photo to your own taste if, for example, it has become a bit too dark.

I hope you like them too.

Hallo fotografieliefhebbers,

Mijn allereerste post hier op Liketu en het leek me een goed idee om mijn werkwijze van fotograferen aan jullie uit te leggen.

Iedereen heeft zo zijn eigen manier om foto’s te maken. (sidenote: ik fotografeer voor mijn hobby, ben absoluut geen professional)

De een heeft zijn toestel altijd in de automatische stand staan, een ander doet alles volledig manueel en dan heb je er, die daar een beetje tussen hangen.

Nou, bij die laatste categorie hoor ik ook. Ik hang er een beetje tussenin.

Heb ik veel tijd en is het onderwerp ook geschikt, dan probeer ik alles volledig manueel in te stellen en op ontdekkingstocht te gaan.

Maar wil ik snel wat foto’s maken, dan zet ik hem stiekem op de automatische stand.

Of ik neem me zelfs de moeite niet om mijn camera te pakken en maak de foto met mijn telefoon.
Want, geef toe, daar kun je tegenwoordig potverdorie prachtige foto’s mee maken.

Maar vandaag had ik zin, en tijd, om wat uit te proberen.

De eerste drie bloemenfoto's heb ik gemaakt met telkens dezelfde lens en iso instelling.
Alleen het diafragma en de sluitertijd heb ik telkens aangepast.

Drie keer hetzelfde maar toch anders.
Van diafragma f1,8 tot f 22 en sluitertijd van 1/1000
sec tot 1/4 sec.

Met mijn Canon M50, 50mm lens en een Meike 10 mm macro ring heb ik de foto´s van de bloemen gemaakt.

En de foto´s van mijn fotocamera zijn genomen met mijn Iphone 14.

De laatste bloemenfoto heb ik ook nog eens bewerkt in Adobe Lightroom daarmee kun je jouw foto net dat beetje extra veranderen naar je eigen smaak.

Ik hoop dat ze jou ook in de smaak vallen. Laat gerust je mening achter in de comments, ben niet bang voor een beetje gefundeerde kritiek.
