The Art of Women: Showcasing Creativity and Independence

Hello to all my friends in the Black and White community. I'm Manti, and I'm back with another photography session and blog post. Today, I'm highlighting the artistry of a woman from my homeland. It must be said that for a long time, the art and efforts of women have been somewhat overlooked, especially in our region. However, with the passage of time, thanks to various platforms and increased public awareness, we are now witnessing the diverse artistry and independence of women who are exceptionally successful in various fields."

"Today's photography features a woman named Hoda, whose art lies in creating and baking unique and strangely decorated cakes. She brought one of her suspended cakes to share with you, and asked me to capture her work. So, without delay, I began photographing this beautiful cake. As you can see, the cake has multiple layers with various patinated designs and occasional floral arrangements."

"In the first photo, we start with the cake, which we've designed around. In the background, there's a window and a chandelier that serves as a mise-en-scène in our frame. Then, it was time for me to move the cake a little closer to the center, and I asked Hoda to pose next to it while decorating. I asked her to interact with the cake, adjusting some of the flowers with her hands. At this moment, after fixing my lights and placing a light behind the window, I took the shot."

"The lighting setup with these three lights was fantastic. One light illuminated the background, another at a 45-degree angle shone on the cake and Hoda, and a third light behind her softened the shadows. She had great eye contact, so I took the next shot as a full-length portrait while she looked at the camera. We can see a sense of majesty in Hoda's face, as I shot from a slightly low angle, which helps to enhance the feeling of grandeur."

"Now, it was time to move to another location and design the shot in a completely simple environment, with just a plain wall as the background and no other distractions besides the cake. This allowed the cake to stand out more prominently. Hoda joined the shot again, and we captured this beautiful art together, which I believe is a masterpiece."

"In my opinion, women should be believed in and given space. They are truly artists, just as they have brought and nurtured many talented men into the world.
