Portrait photography - new season for monomad daily chalenge

Hello to all my dear friends in the Black & White Community.
It’s Mentí here, and I’m back with a new season of my photography. This time, in the new space of my studio, and with a male model.
His name is Shahriar—one of my loyal clients. A while ago, his sister got married, and I was both the videographer and the photographer for the ceremony.
The lighting for my first photo was done using a snoot. I placed it right behind the needle-shaped leaves of the plant, and that setup gave us this awesome dramatic lighting.

Shahriar wanted to cut his hair because his workplace had an issue with it, so before that, he wanted to take a few memorable photos with his long hair. That’s why I mostly tried side-profile poses to captur

e him and show the length and shape of his tied hair better.

By the way, Shahriar loves animation, and he had this pose in mind where his palm looks bloody while he stares into the camera. That pose was his choice, and we photographed it too. I recently added a new high-intensity light to my equipment, and it works great as a rim light.

In one of the shots, I placed my key-light softbox behind him and took a side-profile shot. It created a white background and gave me a beautiful silhouette effect.

I’ve honestly missed you all so much here. I hope I can be more active among you again so we can share our photos and videos, learn from each other’s experiences, and grow together.
A big shout-out to the admins of the Black & White Community for creating a space for artists from all over the world.
Wish you a great day, and until next time, goodbye.
