Classic barbershop photography - monomad daily chalenge
From childhood, one of my interests has been hairdressing. When I reflect on the past and see where I stand now, as someone who creates content from video to photography, I realize that it's the result of small decisions I made throughout my life and the steps I took or didn't take
Greetings to all my dear friends in the black and white community. I'm Manti, and I'm back with another photography blog. We'll start today with some photos of a groom's makeup, done by my dear friend Yasin Newcut, a talented and professional hairdresser with an extensive resume.
Yasin is a kind-hearted professional hairdresser who works right next door to my photography studio in our city. I really like Yasin because whenever I go to his salon, there are always good subjects for laughing, photography, and videography, and it's really exciting for us.
The first photo I posted, in my opinion, was the best photo I took. It has a very special nostalgic style with a custom design that Yasin himself made for the salon walls, where he installed various items, each with its own history, story, and resume. There's also a full-length mirror with a wooden frame that I thought could be a good background for photography, so I took the shot without delay
We have a long shot of Yasin grooming the groom, precisely at the point where he's styling and trimming his mustache. This was a great opportunity to photograph such a scene with a Tamron 20mm f2.8 lens. While taking this photo, I started filming, and continued until it was time to tie the tie. A long shot of the mustache trimming, followed by a medium shot, and we continued until we captured two great portraits, one of the groom's face and the other of our artist, Yasin Newcut.
The cool piercing on his eyebrow and the bit of navy eyeliner he uses make his face look cool, not to mention the tattoos on his hand, which I didn't focus on too much. At the end, we took a group photo in front of the mirror as a memento, which was an honor for me. Then the groom went to pick up the bride and brought her to the studio, and the rest of their work was done by my colleague Farideh. At night, we went to the reception hall for the party and filming, and had an incredibly exciting celebration together.
Everyone's place was empty, and we had a great time. Have a good day, until we meet again. Goodbye.
