Barbershop photography _ monomad daily chalenge
Hello to all my friends in the Black and White community! I hope you are all doing well and everything is going smoothly there. I'm Manti, and I'm back with another photoshoot and blog post. Today, I have a collaboration with a top hairdresser, a professional makeup artist. His name is Mehdi, and his salon is called "Moon", which means moon.
Mehdi is a friend I met while hiking, and we decided to do a joint project. The wedding of one of our close mutual friends was coming up, and this was an exceptional opportunity for both of us to have a handsome groom as a model and start with his makeup and photography during the process.
The photoshoot went very well. I positioned my lights, and Mehdi started the makeup. It was in my studio space, which has a very interesting ambiance with draped fabrics, a chandelier, and large windows that we've used in many of my posts. On the other side, there was a mirror where Mehdi's workstation was set up.
The lighting was absolutely fantastic. I placed the lights in specific positions and we started photographing. I began taking photos from different angles. I used three light sources so that I could cover everything, and during the editing, I also added different shades of black and white in various themes.
One of the photos I took from a very close angle, with the image in the mirror centered in the frame, had the makeup artist's face towards the light, allowing for excellent illumination and professional lighting. Another angle we photographed from that was very interesting was from top to bottom.
I used a ladder to get up high and asked them to look up. I think this was one of the photos that turned out especially amazing in the editing.
At the end, after the groom put on his clothes, we took some video files that I will prepare and share with you soon. Thank you, dear friends, for staying with me until the end of the post. I hope you enjoyed seeing the photos. Until next time, goodbye.
