Faith Through the Hands.

Hello, friends of the Community! After being away for a while, I'm back with new stories to share with you. I hope to continue enjoying your stories, which allow me to experience other places and different stories.

These are my images to participate in the #monomad contest of @brumest and @monochromes.

This series is a journey through the hands—that primary instrument through which human beings interact with the world and connect with the sacred. This work explores how that heritage manifests itself in everyday faith. Through the lens, we observe how Catholic rosaries and crucifixes coexist with—and even merge with—saint necklaces and symbols of the orishas.

There is no conflict, but rather a natural and syncretic coexistence. These images capture the exact moment when the gods of two continents come together in the same gesture of prayer, in the same embrace of faith. It is a celebration of the cultural and spiritual resilience that defines the Cuban people, where hands are the visible manifestation of a spirit that refuses to be fragmented.

Beads from the same necklace, threads from the same story.

Where the rosary and the ildé meet, the one true faith is born: that of the Cuban heart.

La fe a través de las manos

Hola amigos de la Comunidad , luego de estar un tiempo alejada regreso con nuevas historias que compartirles, espero seguir disfrutando de las suyas las cuales me permiten disfrutar de otras geografías y diferentes historias.
Está serie es un viaje a través de las manos, ese instrumento primario con el que el ser humano interactúa con el mundo y se conecta con lo sagrado.Esta obra explora cómo esa herencia se manifiesta en la fe cotidiana. A través de la lente, observamos cómo los rosarios y los crucifijos católicos conviven, e incluso se funden, con los collares de santo y los símbolos de los orishas.

No hay conflicto, sino una convivencia natural y sincrética. Estas imágenes capturan el momento exacto en que los dioses de dos continentes se encuentran en un mismo gesto de oración, en un mismo abrazo de fe. Es una celebración de la resiliencia cultural y espiritual que define al cubano, donde las manos son la manifestación visible de un espíritu que se niega a ser fragmentado.

Cuentas de un mismo collar, hilos de una misma historia.

Donde el rosario y el ildé se encuentran, nace la única fe verdadera: la del corazón cubano.
