When the sun goes down

When you live in the city like my son and his wife do, often you only have a fragmented view of the sky.
When the horizon is blocked by brick and concrete you find yourself enjoying the light in reflections in the windows of the neighborhood buildings.

When the sunset is colorful the buildings themselves look like they are glowing from within.

I don't have a sunset view this time of year because I live in the woods and my view of the summer sky is blocked by dense foliage on the trees, so a friend who has a view of the western sky from her house took this sunset photo for me

The sunset was so brilliant it even lit up the sky in the city when you looked east!

Though I do love the big city, I really appreciate having more of the sky available and more stars visible out here in the country.

Not really a reflection but sharing the evening colours that make everyone happy.

These shots of the buildings and a little bit of the sky that were obvious are great, ma'am.

Oh, this stone jungle!
I don't see sunsets at home either. But I see sunrises!

I have a fascination with these kinds of countries and the colors in the sky; they are magnificent.

Lovely shots of the sunsets. And colors reflecting on the windows. I remember watching fireworks reflecting off buildings when we lived near downtown New Orleans. Only time I have really lived in a city (if only a small one). We kind of have a sunset view even though we are in the woods. More of behind a thin spot in the trees than the actual horizon 🙂

There is much to do in NOLA. That would be an interesting city to live in.
It certainly has its own flavor.

I have a much better view in the fall and winter. Right now I can't even see the river, even though it is only feet away!

NOLA was great. We were young and didn't have kids yet. This time of year is nice for us, we can't see any of our neighbors through the wall of green 🙂
