Superbowl/Championship Rings

These Green Bay Packers Super Bowl/Championship rings are massive pieces of jewelry that are historical records of the team.
My son has a collection of these replica custom-built rings and he and his wife took these photos so that I could share them with you. Of course, the diamonds in these rings are not the real thing! These have cubic zurconia and are made of a metal alloy.
The NFL provides an official allowance of roughly $5,000 to $7,000 per ring for up to 150 rings per winning franchise.
However, because teams want their rings to be as lavish as possible, the actual manufacturing cost easily eclipses that budget. The team owners personally cover the massive remaining balance. Owners also determine who receives a ring; franchises often distribute different "tiers" of rings to everyone from the star quarterback and coaching staff to stadium front-office personnel, scouts, and trainers. This is a replica of Brett Favre's Super Bowl XXXI Championship Ring, commemorating the 35-21 victory over the New England Patriots on January 26, 1997.
It features the Packers "G" logo set inside an oval football shape, completely covered in diamonds, surrounded by the words "World Champions."
On the side you can see "FAVRE" engraved along with his famous number 4, it is the only Super Bowl ring of his legendary career.

The three large diamonds set inside the green football shaped background tell the story of The Power of Three: The Packers are the only team in modern pro football history to win three consecutive league titles in a row: the 1965 NFL Championship, followed by Super Bowl I (1966) and Super Bowl II (1967). This was the final game Vince Lombardi ever coached for the Green Bay Packers, capping off his legendary tenure with a decisive 33-14 victory over the Oakland Raiders in Miami.

This ring is significant as it was the final NFL Championship game played before the Super Bowl era began the following season. It also marked the first of Green Bay's legendary three-peat championship run (1965, 1966, and 1967) under Vince Lombardi. Gemini Ai

This ring holds a place in NFL lore because 1961 marked the very first NFL Championship won under legendary head coach Vince Lombardi. The Packers dominated the New York Giants 37-0 at City Stadium (which we now know as Lambeau Field) on December 31, 1961.
