Fresh air, sunshine and flowers bring so much joy.
These photos were all taken at Chicago's Botanical Garden. It is a lovely place to spend a day with a camera, especially on a beautiful spring day when the sky is blue.

There really is nothing to compare with the beauty of springtime! I think those of us who live in the north who have endured a long winter season, may have a special appreciation for the arrival of spring. The gardeners at the botanical gardens work hard to to see to it that when the snow melts, it doesn't take long before flowers begin to bloom
There were plenty of others there to enjoy the beautiful day!

When you go to a botanical garden, it is very normal to capture and enjoy such pictures, 😁😁 but when you live in the middle of the city like me, 😅 stuck in crowded and busy streets, it is easy to miss such beauties and difficult to catch them. 😢 I think I need to go camping now ⛺🤗

Beautiful flowers. Especially the blue flowers around the tree. Do any of them have scent? If yes, then which one you like the best?
That white lilac in the first photo is the best! Lilac is my favorite scent and I wish their blooms lasted longer! I have a lilac scented candle, but it's not the same!
Lilac indeed has a good scent. They can be found in Hungary too, and they are blooming also in May.

I haven't gotten many flowers. I did buy a big geranium for beside my front door where I have a stand and I bought 6 smaller plants. I have about half of those few in pots and think I will have the others in pots before this weekend is up, but they will all be on my porches. I'm not sure I have the energy to take dare of more than that. Of course, I am wishy washy all the time, so who knows, I might get more.... or not. :)

My lettuce is growing nicely in my planter box! The two back sections have spinach and beets. I'm so hopeful that everything will do well. Have you begun planting out? I'm assuming that is why you are so quiet.
I have everything outside now. Need to put together a good garden post. Its been hot here. Hopefully I can get all my newly planted babies through the heat. Love that planter box btw 🙂
The cover keeps the chipmunks from eating all the seeds that I plant!
We've been lucky so far this spring. We have some fencing up around some beds for deer but can't keep squirrel and chipmunks out. A deer wandered through last night and randomly ate a black eyed susan we just planted but thats the only causualty so far 🤞
I had a stalk of a beautiful coral colored iris that was there one evening and had vanished by morning. Chipmunks are the worst. They come on the deck and dig up and eat every seed I plant. Most worried about my green bean seeds right now.

Seeing so many beautiful spring flowers makes me happy and puts a smile on my face. Those beds of tulips are so pretty.
