The Chicago Botanic Garden is a 385-acre garden and is an ideal place to spend the day taking photos! Situated on nine islands there are opportunities for waterfowl photos and flowers galore!

This mallard was in the perfect spot for a couple of shots.

This tuberose flower was so fragrant there is no way it could be ignored! I have never grown one, but may have to plant one next spring just to enjoy the smell!

I still have many garden photos to share, but another trip to the garden may be necessary as the leaves begin to change into their autumn colors!

Nice mallard shots 👍 I'm not familar with tuberose. Looks lovely. I looked and it wouldn't survive the winters here. And I already have some Dahlias I have to bring the tubers in each winter. Too much work for me... but they do look lovely

I might give them a try one time in a pot as annuals. Just to see how they do and if they would be worth the bother.

I'm also getting married in a while so I'll definitely want to take pictures there too.

These are all gorgeous shots, but the mallard??? Holy crow, Melinda! What incredible fortune to find that moment, and to have the eye, equipment, and steady hand to pull it all together! Very impressive!

By the way, I have something for you…but it won’t be ready until tomorrow :)

What a cool moment! So awesome to see one of the whippies on a curation list!!! …I legitimately LOVED that duck - especially that action shot! That just felt like such rare and special footage 😬

it is interesting to know that you have the tuberose as well there in your place. we use the tuberose here in the villa where I work as the flower vase, and they smell so nice at night.

The mallard duck is truly a professional model without being asked to immediately style it, the appearance of the flowers is also attractive.

Thanks! The Botanical Garden is out in the suburbs and without a car is not easy to get to. You know how much I appreciate the DUO. ❤️
