Carole A. Feuerman’s famous hyperrealistic swimmer sculptures

This is Brooke with Beach Ball, part of Carole A. Feuerman's major public art installation on Michigan Avenue's Magnificent Mile in Chicago titled Monuments of Stillness.

This exhibition spans a 13-block stretch running from the Wrigley Building up to Oak Street.
These ultra-glossy, hyperrealistic swimmers glistening in the sun add a fun bit of summer to the city's downtown.

Carole Feuerman is renowned for these outdoor bronze and resin sculpiures with their incredible textures, like the look of wet skin and the texture of the swimwear.

This is the sculpture located at 900 N. Michigan Avenue (positioned outside the 900 North Michigan Shops (Disney Store)

There are 10 sculptures and I have photos of more of them and will share them in upcoming posts this week.

This exhibition is sponsored by Hilton Contemporary exhibits and will be there until mid November.

Feuerman's hyperrealism always gets me — the water droplets on skin look almost photographic even though it's sculpture. Thanks for spotlighting an artist a lot of us might not have come across otherwise.

It was my introduction to her work, too. Those warerdrops are fascinating.

Wow, what is this? At first I thought it was a real girl with a ball.

To some extent, it may even seem scary, especially at night.

If I walked past this without knowing it was a sculpture, I probably would've thought someone was just standing there posing. 😅 Hyperrealism never stops amazing me lol.

It looks so real, especially the ball with the deformation caused by the little girl. Truly incredible. Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.

Have a lovely day

I couldn't find it the way it's on a web page. Should be 5% like other frontends are having it. Would be easier that way. Ecency is our home and we all should contribute. Thank you
