Community Action to Challenge Government!

Communities can be powerful and we're going to put that to the test. Recently due to rapidly expanding growth in the area our regional (country) roads have no longer been sustainable to maintaining the traffic congestion which is leading to heavy traffic and delays outside of peak traffic periods.
Single lane roads feed into more single lane roads without round abouts, lights or service lanes leading to banked up traffic that span kilometers with many residents now impacted at the hip pocket with lengthy delays resulting in increased petrol costs, docked pay and job losses.
The local council remains asleep at the wheel with many works not planned for commencement for another 10 years as reported by their official communications. I recently joined the local primary school now that lockdowns are over and was elected the school council president.
Parents have been raising the need for alternative access points through footpaths, public transport and better roads. So we're firing up the big guns and organising community action to take on the powers that be.
You can read the article here and yes that strikingly handsome dad with the olive complexsion is me :) Stay tuned as the community bands together and commences advocacy campaigns.

You might want to watch this before all that newfound power goes to your head.
It's less than 15 minutes.
Power? Lmao no power on School Council
Uh-huh, you might think not, but wait until you've looked around a little.
All politics are local.
In India it is even worse experience of the roads. Traffic jam, bigger holes and pollution make it very difficult to travel.
