Just reading that reminds me of a mountain path I took the family up once and it was barely signposted and it wasnt until the Good Lady flatly refused to go any further as it was getting dangerous that I conceded we may have gone the wrong way :OD

Yeah it definitely happens. Sometimes even when following a marked trail. Like when you miss one of the markings on the ground and go past it and 20 minutes later are like "none of this feels right. What the hell has happened?"
Hehe, oh man exactly like that. Happened to me whilst driving on a dirt track once as well 🤣🤣
Driving a bike on a trail or you mean like a car or truck? Were you off roading or something?
