The Viñales Valley, naturally beautiful.
Wow, January is almost over and this is my first post of the year. It's a bit late...but it's never too late to wish good things 😉 and I couldn't think of a better way to wish you all a 2026 full of health and wonderful things than by sharing part of this journey I took on the last day of 2025.
The images I bring you today were taken on the trip back from my mother's house to my aunt's house, where our whole family would gather to welcome the New Year. We go there every year-end, except this time there would be a slight change of scenery for the celebration. Instead of having it at my mother's house, disconnected from the internet and in full contact with the lush nature of the area, we would go to the city of Pinar del Río to make it easier for everyone to get to the meeting point.
To travel to and from my mother's house to the city of Pinar del Río, there is a shorter route, but its poor condition made us take an alternative route for the return. This one runs near the north coast of the Pinar del Río province, crossing part of the Cordillera del Rosario up to Viñales.

It's about 50 kilometers full of beautiful mountains and valleys. The vegetation is always green and the climate is pleasant and cool. The road isn't in great shape either, but compared to the other one, it's wonderful...imagine the other one 😜.
The views of the Viñales Valley from the viewpoint of the "Los Jazmines" hotel are an unmissable spectacle. No one who visits this town leaves without taking a few photographs of this vast landscape.

The morning was a bit cloudy, so the light wasn't what I would have preferred for these images, but even so, the landscape is sublime.
I have always found something special in this landscape, I can't describe in words what it is. I know for sure that if I ever go far away, I will miss being able to gaze to the farthest point and breathe the air that blows here.
I hope that through these simple photographs you can feel the magnificence of this green and wonderful landscape. Happy 2026!!
¡¡Feliz 2026!!

What a refreshing post to accompany my weekend breakfast! Hope you had a good break away from hive!
Hey @livinguktaiwan!!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed reading my post.
My break from Hive was a bit forced. I've been spending the last few months recovering from the chikungunya virus, and to make things worse, I got caught up in a slow-moving process of organizing and remodeling our apartment 😬. Just life doing its thing, but I'm getting back into the swing of it now!🙃
I hope your year has gotten off to a great start. Un abrazo 🤗.
This route it's really very charming ❤️❤️😍 what wonderful landscapes ❤️❤️
Thank you, I'm glad you like them 😊. They are truly landscapes full of charm 🥰💚.
It's never too late to wish for good things, certainly not too late to see beautiful scenery and enjoy nature views like these. They convey a lot of peace to me but it is true that they have magic and the clouds create a mysterious atmosphere in certain places. It doesn't matter that it was a cloudy day, the important thing is to be there in the present time and that you enjoyed this beauty.
Although those pictures were taken before the end of the year, they are a good omen for 2026 and I am sure of that. Have a great year and I love to see you here again. Big hug!🤗

Wonderful scenery indeed!
Happy 2026, even with a small delay :)
Thanks 😊. Greetings to you all :)
