I knew what beer exactly did I want when I visited the craft beer shop. Let’s get sour!

Well, this was somehow an easy pick. I had about 2 minutes in the craftbeer shop before I had to go and pick my wife and kids from a nearby location. And because I had only IPAs and NEIPAs lately I was longing for a nice and tasty sour beer. I instantly noticed this raspberry ice cream sour and knew that this was exactly the right choice.

And even better that I managed to enjoy this one on the terrace. Weather isn’t still too cold and children can have fun around me in fresh air too. There was that feeling, that I had a similar beer in the last year, but really wasn’t sure about that.

On the edge of the railing seemed the perfect place to take some cool and dynamic photos of the beer. And although it was a bit windy, the beer managed to stay there without falling from about 5 meters on the concrete in our yard. Although I was a bit nervous at that time, somehow managed to keep myself calm. I think the risk of pushing the glass unwillingly was a bigger thread than the wind itself.

The color of the veer is absolutely dictated by the raspberry infusion. Instead of the ordinary golden beer color, it had this impressive pinky hue to the extremely hazy body. The liquid looks more like a fancy fruit purée rather than a real beer. And it’s aroma is quite fresh and sour. The head was not lasting, but I managed to make a photo or two before it dissolved completely.

In the mouth there is the fruitiness and the real sourness in the beginning, which are gradually replaced by some sweetness and creamy texture. It’s on the medium levels of carbonation and it seems more than enough for the beer itself. This leaves you with a very fresh overall experience and makes you want more. I’m a bit sorry that this was just a 330ml serving and it wasn’t enough for me, especially with my wife being around and trying it too.

And guess what! She told me “we have tried this beer before, right?” A quick scroll through my beer posts here lead me to an old post that was with this exact beer, but with different label. It was from about 10 months ago, and I really had forgotten this one. And I’m really happy that such beers continue to be brewed year over year. It means that other people tend to like that one too and it’s a good seller on the market.

Craft beer market is about finding more, different and enjoyable beers and exploring new tastes, but also enjoying some beers that have made an impression on us. This was a bit spontaneous and random choice but having enjoyed this beer again in the past made my experience even better.

See you soon and cheers!

I know nothing about beer, since I don't drink, but I can't believe there are such fun can designs as some I've seen on your blog. I love this one so much, it resembles a tropical fruit drink can. So cool.

Craft beer label designs are always a lot of fun!
Of course some stand out a lot more than others, and when I choose beers in the shop sometimes it’s really the packaging and the weird art that makes me grab a particular one. I’m glad that you like the “beer art” even not drinking at all!

Oh, sours are my fav with the IPAs! Especially the fruited sours. They add so much color in the beer variety of flavors. Like in coffee, I like to always have something different. Never stick to the same exact flavor.

Cheers!
