It’s late… I’ve never had a post this late, but after a busy day it’s already time for my traditional post about coffee. After the kids are asleep, the time is entirely about mommy and daddy now.

The morning was extraordinary busy, but given the fact that it’s the Orthodox Easter this week, and we are parents of three, made the day even busyer than usual. But the kids… they couldn’t be happier and more excited about the fact it was egg decorating time!

First, we had to prepare the eggs. We boil them with automatic tool, that boils 7 eggs at a time, but in order to keep the eggs’ shell whole, we temperate them in advance. The fast warming can easily crack the eggs and we don’t want that for sure!

And while we wait for the eggs to boil its time for what? Of course, some beautiful coffee! And here is the one I am currently enjoying…

Why Be Berry? Because coffee is a fruit! It is the best fruit on the planetfor us and that is how we treat it. Come and try what coffee can Be. Roasted with fruitiness by the first Slovak Q Grader in the world - Thomas Laca.

That is the message that Mr Laca wants to leave to anyone who holds a box of his coffee in his hands, and he cannot have wrote this better.

Every box of his coffee is signed by himself and he seems to be very proud woth the product that is offered on the specialty coffee stage. I tried his coffee once in our favorite specialty coffee place and fell in love with the wild and alternative taste of this coffee. And this is why I couldn’t stand the oportunity to grab the last available box in the coffee shop.

Mr Laca has an interesting way to offer his product, and you can see how his coffees are aold in cardboard boxes, and inside you can find the traditional coffee bags with the CO2 valve. The detail and labeling of his product are different than most of the coffees sold in the specialty places. And although the coffee of this coffee wnthusiast is not that well known compared to other czech coffee brands, the quality is brilliant and the best part is that he keeps relatively cheaper prices about very extraordinary and limited products.

This coffee comes from El Salvador, a region that doesn’t produse that much coffee, but still you can find their coffee beans here and there. The farmer is Mauricio Salaverria and the coffee is processed anaerobic and natural - something that took my attention from the first time I saw this coffee. The roast is said to be suitable for filter and several other methods, but for now I just keep on brewing this entirely on the espresso machine.

The taste is really acidic, but when extracted properly there is some great balnce with the sweethess of the beans. It is said to taste like cocoa nibs, cherry cola and vanilla and I totally agree with that. There is not that specific fruitiness of some Kenyan and Ethiopian coffee varieties, but the anaerobic process gives a lot of complexity to the beans.

This coffee really looks spectacular and tastes so and i really couldn’t be happier with my purchase. My friend from the Specialty coffee place told me that he is in the process of ordering more coffees from Mr. Laca and I’m really looking forward for the new varieties. Until then I will utterly enjoy this gem from El Salvador.

Meanwhile we managed to decorate our eggs!

Our big boy already helps us with all the domestic activities and decorating eggs was definitely something very exciting for him. I think it’s his first relatively aware egg decorating! He grows up so fast and we cannot slow down the time passing by. Every moment spent with the family is precious and significant.

Do you like our eggs? I think they are fabulous!

P.S. I found a way to fix some exxs that cracked in the process of boiling. I used these plastic covers that shrink when put in hot water. This creates another oiter shell that holds and covers the problems. It’s great that daddy is an engineer! 🤣

See you soon! Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Easter to all the orthodox friends here.

Bye!

Happy Easter!

Those eggs are beautiful. That's a great engineer tip too.
Yes, your post was rather late. I thought you had extra daddy duties, or maybe you went out on a coffee exploration of some sort.

Have a lovely Sunday:)

Sometimes I really struggle with my Saturday posts and weekly ones are almost completely absent. Family duties are the top priority and dealing with three kids is very time consuming.

Coffee exploration in this Specialty place in my city are definitely something very common right now. When I started to go there I never thought that I was gonna spend so much time there, but Misho (the owner) always finds and brings some extraordinary and interesting coffees.
