Where communities become reality.
One of the most beautiful things about the Hive ecosystem is that it does not just exist as a platform — it exists as a community. A living and real-world network of passionate, creative and forward-thinking individuals. And the best way to experience that connection is through Hive meetups.
In the last year I was lucky enough to attend a wonderful Hive meetup in London facilitated by the wonderful Brits community on Hive, including @steevc, @alessandrawhite, @adetorrent and several others. It was an exciting gathering, full of laughter, inspiration and shared conversations. For some majority of us, it was the first time we were able to connect real-life faces with largely familiar usernames.
There is something very powerful about getting away from staring at screens and coming into an area where you can connect with fellow Hivers, share stories with one another, exchange ideas and simply be in the moment. The vibe was positive, the conversations were inspiring, and the sense of unity was felt by everyone involved. It made me well aware that Hive is not about blogging or rewards but about forming relationships that stretch beyond the boundary of the blockchain.
I share some nice moments taken during the meetup — memories of happiness, authenticity, and shared purpose. These are more than just pictures. These were a reminder that Hive is about the people — not just the technology. I loved seeing all the smiling faces shaking hands and creating their own little groups around a shared table, exploring new connections and growth opportunities.
Meetups like the Hive meetup I attended are important. They keep the heartbeat of the Hive community rhythm going. They help us to collaborate together, brainstorm new ideas together, and, as we did at the Brits' Hive meetup, grow the expanded ecosystem of Hive through purposeful human interaction, bringing positive feelings and genuine connections. Whether you are meeting for drinks with a handful of fellow Hivers, a workshop, or a full conference, every one of these experiences is significant.
As Hivers, we must encourage and host meetups — locally and globally. Meetups bridge the gap between digital and person-to-person presence and allow Hivers to build trust, loyalty, and long-lasting friendships. Whenever there is an opportunity to attend one, take it. The memories and subsequent connections you will make will significantly lift you in your Hive journey beyond your wildest expectations.
Let’s keep meeting, continuing to connect, and growing together — Hive is not just a platform. It’s us.
There is always a great buzz when we get two or more hivers together. See what I did there 😂👍
The enthusiasm is always very strong whenever we have a meetup.
Looking forward to the next one that I can get to.
It's always fun.
Meetups are great and really help to encourage people. We need more of them all around the world.
