Celebrating a great impact.

The Hive Borehole Project has brought clean water to tens of thousands of people in about 20 Ghanaian communities across different district regions in the past two years. The 21st borehole may be the last one to pause to reflect on all these boreholes together seen through such humanising projects that have brought transformation stories, livelihoods, and children's lives.

It has been a long and fulfilling journey. During this break, we will be able to share with the world some of these very ordinary yet truly moving stories of transformations. With a chance to pause for reflection, we can share some of the extraordinary stories that have been born from this project.

This new borehole, like the others before, represents hope and change for yet another community in need. In the months and years since clean water became available locally, we have seen how it has transformed lives: the struggle for water lessened, and better sanitation improved. Children now have time to study because they no longer have to gather water from a distant source. As we get ready to work on this last project before our break, our focus remains ensuring that it is done efficiently and well.

So one big issue for this break is to go back to communities where boreholes already exist. This will give us the chance to examine their impact, hear from people benefiting from what they have done, and work out how we can make things better in future efforts. These boreholes are not mere water sources; they are lifelines that help maintain people 's health, sustain daily life, and underpin economic wellbeing in rural areas.

As always, preparations are underway for the 21st borehole, commencing with that vital drilling phase. This first step marks the beginning of a water supply that lasts, from knowing how deep to drill so as to guarantee clean water consistently. Our team is committed to making this project a success just like its predecessors, as well as to keeping everyone informed every step of the way.

While for the moment this borehole may represent a temporary pause in bringing new wells of water to life, it also signals the beginning of an entirely different phase focused on storytelling and impact assessment. Through these means, we aim to let the world know how blockchain-powered initiatives such as Hive can actually make positive changes in communities where it matters most. We hope that by telling these success stories we will inspire others to support and partake in similar projects.

We thank everyone who contributed to our journey - from sponsors of the Wells'in Ghana project to our committed team on the ground. The work does not end here; indeed, it alone evolves into something even greater. Watch this space for updates on our final borehole before we break temporarily and spread even more news about the future of Hive's impact.

21 is probably more than you guys imagined in the beginning. Cheers to you guys. Is there anything like a maintenance routine/team or something? Say you revisit one of the old ones like you intend to and learn one or two things aren't working as well.

Yes, we have arranged for visitations to the various communities to access and see the impacts these are making. The communities are in a good position to handle the project by keeping them safe. Thanks for passing through to support.

Taking a break to go back to other communities to see how the boreholes haa impacted them is still a good initiative.
