Images of Baiona Bay. Spain

One of the most charming routes in Baiona is the one around Monterreal Castle, but walking along the ramparts is even more spectacular!

From the viewpoints, you can enjoy amazing views of Bayona Bay. It is curious to look at these waters and think that it was the port where the first news of the discovery of the American continent was received. The ship La Pinta arrived here with the great news and with fine gifts for the king at that time. It was also one of the most important ports, where the main exports to Galicia arrived.

In this panoramic view below, you can see the Cíes Islands in the distance, another place with spectacular landscapes.

These walls have a lot of history, having passed through the hands of Romans, French, Muslims, and Catholics. Now they are part of a hotel complex owned by the government.

I took these pictures from various points along my walk along the wall. My only regret about this walk was not bringing my swimsuit, as the weather was perfect for a dip in those cold waters.

I hope you enjoy these beautiful views, friends.

Good evening @mballesteros, I love the images of the wall and the sea. It's a shame you couldn't enjoy the sea more... the day looks great.

A hug.

Hi Enraizar. I'm glad you liked the pictures. Aren't they spectacular views?

It was a shame not to have enjoyed those icy waters, but there will be other opportunities.

Thanks for commenting, my friend. Have a great weekend.

They are just as spectacular, if not more so. I've already seen them in pictures. 👍
