Walking My Way to School on a Tuesday Morning: No E-Bike Ride, Just Me, and a Simple Walk Down the Road 🚶🏻♀️

Hi, fellow Hivers! 😊
@mayt here! Today, I’m hanging out with this lovely @wednesdaywalk community, and I’m excited to share a little story from my Tuesday morning — a simple walk to school because I had a school meeting to attend.
It’s another little story from my everyday life. Just a moment I enjoyed and thought was worth sharing here on Hive. 🌸
Let’s go! 😄
It was already around 9:00 in the morning when I finally started walking to school. The meeting was supposed to start at 8:30. 😂

Yes, I was already running late, but at least the school was only a 10-minute walk away.
Since it was already quite hot that morning, I brought an umbrella with me.
At the beginning of my walk, the road was quite dusty. With vehicles passing by along the roadside.
But once I turned into the street leading to the school, the atmosphere changed. There were plenty of trees, providing shade and making the surroundings feel much more pleasant. The air even felt a little fresher compared to the dusty road I had just walked through. 🌳🍃

As I continued walking, I started noticing little things that I probably wouldn't have paid attention if I had taken e-bike.
One thing was the importance of having trees around us. The difference was very noticeable.
On the open and dusty road, the air felt hot and not pleasant. But once I reached the street with plenty of trees, everything felt different. There was shade, the surroundings felt cooler, and the air somehow felt fresher.

Then, as I got closer to the school, I noticed something else... The beautiful mountain standing right in front of me. 😍

I've passed by this view countless times, but I never really noticed how beautiful it was. Maybe because I was riding. I don't have the chance to look around.
But that Tuesday, because I was walking, I finally noticed the mountain, the trees, the road, and the little details along the way. 🌿
When I arrived at school, the meeting was already underway. 😆

We talked about the children's attendance, the things Ma'am Irma required us to bring, reminders about our duties as sweepers, and even payments for unsettled school fees.
There are actually a lot of responsibilities that come with being a parent. But funny enough, while the meeting was about all these responsibilities, what stayed with me more was the simple walk I took to get there.
So yeah... despite the heat, the sweat, and my poor feet, I still enjoyed the walk. I got a little exercise, and at the same time, I had the chance to appreciate the views and scenery around me. If I had taken the e-bike, I probably would have reached school faster—but I might have missed all those little things I noticed along the way. 🌳
❤️ Thank you for taking the time to read my little story! I hope you enjoyed it. 🥰
Until my next adventure! 👋✨

I thought di pa nagsisinula meeting coz thats how usually it is to some hahaha. Meeting is 8 daw pero 10 na nag start, lolol. I experienced it multiple times, lololol.
Ee, 8 palang kami 😆
Thanks so much for the support @ruffatotmeee and @hivepakistan team. ❤️🧡💛
Sometimes, walking slowly helps us notice the beauty we usually miss. Glad you enjoyed the walk despite the heat and tired feet!
Yeah... Nakakaenjoy din pala maglakad lakad ng solo. Hehe, mas gumagana utak ko.
Thanks so much @brumest... 🥹🥹🥹
I love walking and its my form of exercise. Actually here, I don't attend the meeting. Because I don't understand the language. We only have one meeting in the school year. And the other announcement will be posted on edupage, the application.
Why? What language are they using?
