Ordinary Snapshots: Simple Acts of Helping

Some days are actually filled with small opportunities to help others.

‎Those little moments became part of my routine.

‎These are the small acts of kindness...

‎The small opportunities to help others that make my day feel more meaningful.

A Tempered Glass And A ₱50 Bill

‎While cleaning our front yard in the morning, our neighbor, Ate Tess, came by and handed me her phone along with a tempered glass and a ₱50 bill/$0.84. She said she didn't know how to install it herself and asked if I could do it for her. At first, I hesitated because I had never installed tempered glass before. I was worried I might mess it up. But my hubby said it was very easy, so I decided to give it a try. And yeah. It really was easy! 😅 In just a few minutes, I earned an instant ₱50/$0.84 early in the morning.

Prepare Our Breakfast

‎After that task, I headed to the kitchen to prepare our breakfast. I cooked hotdogs and scrambled eggs. I suddenly miss tuyo on that combo. They're perfect with hot rice. 🤤 Maybe next time, I'll buy some.

Ginisang Ampalaya

‎For lunch, my mother-in-law gave us some ginisang ampalaya. Do you enjoy eating ampalaya? If you're a kid, that's understandable... You don't like it. But if you're an adult... well, you'll struggle too because of the bitterness. 😅 Actually, this used to be one of my favorite vegetables before, just like my mom. But lately, I find it much more bitter. Maybe it depends on how it's cooked.

Renovation Project Still Ongoing

‎In the afternoon, I went to the Kingdom Hall to volunteer. The renovation project there is still ongoing. Though we already had a despidida for the crew, there are still a few things left to finish. According to them, next week will be the final week of work. We still need to clean the area and complete some unfinished tasks. That afternoon, I was assigned to paint the ceiling because there were some fingerprints left when it was put back in place. Then I also apply semi-gloss paint to the lines to make them look neat and clean.

‎And that's it!

‎Looking back, I realized how meaningful simple acts of service can be.

‎And for me, those small acts bring a quiet happiness that makes my day a little more special.

‎Until my next everyday snapshots...

Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
