Lately, one place has been impossible to ignore on our social media feeds.

‎It was the so-called Mini Siargao here in Ponso, Polangui, Albay.

‎Local visitors and well-known vloggers, seemed to be talking about it... showing off its island vibes and scenic views.

‎So this afternoon, we went there to see it for ourselves.

Getting there wasn't as easy as just taking a short walk from the center of town.

‎It's actually quite far from the capital of Polangui, around 8.1 kilometers away from the centro.

‎So, you really had to ride a vehicle to get there.

‎Also, the place isn't located along the main road. It's like you're heading somewhere secluded and hidden. 😅

‎But still, when you discover it, it will make the destination even more rewarding.

As soon as we arrived, the place was already crowded. It's packed with families, friends, and couples.

‎They filled the area, enjoying the space in their own way.

I honestly didn't expect it to be this crowded, especially since the place isn't that easy to get to.

‎That just means that this place really is trending.

‎So people are actually making the effort to come here and experience it themselves, just like us.

‎Some were at the food stalls buying snacks, while others had already settled on the grass, spreading their picnic blankets and sharing snacks.

‎What I also noticed that makes this spot stand out is the coconut trees lining the road. That's what gives it the tropical island feel, and compares it to Siargao.

‎Even without the beach, the vibe is there.

‎It just feels refreshing.

‎Also, there was this large fallen tree that turned into a playground.

‎Kids were climbing, balancing, and swinging on its branches like monkeys, jumping together.

‎It was fun watching them...

‎It's like pulling me back to my own childhood, when there were no gadgets to keep us busy.

‎We also climbed trees, played in the sun, and laughed until we were out of breath.

‎Time didn't matter back then.

‎So seeing those kids today felt like watching a piece of my past come alive again.

‎--

‎Of course, we also didn't miss the chance to stroll around and explore the food stalls.

‎Choosing what to eat like simple snacks.

‎Out of all the options, it didn't take long for us to decide.

‎We ordered a kwek-kwek and kikiam, dipping them in the sweet and spicy sauce.

‎But you know what the real highlight is?

‎It's the sunset.

‎The sky transformed into purple and orange.

‎So beautiful with the coconut trees. 😍

This Mini Siargao is just simple, but definitely worth the trip.

‎And I'm happy that we experienced it ourselves.

It was definitely worth the visit!

‎Until our next escape...

Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
