Getting to know the national pantheon 🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪 || Eng-Esp

Greetings friends, today I share a short but very valuable walk with you. I met a place I had never visited before and fell in love. The best part was the company of my son and a wonderful lady whom I will tell you more about later. I hope you like my pictures.

Saludos amigos, hoy les comparto un paseo corto pero muy valioso para mí. Conocí un lugar que jamás había visitado y quedé enamorada. Lo mejor fue la compañía de mi hijo y una señora maravillosa de la cual les voy a hablar más adelante. Espero les gusten mis fóticos.

I have been living here in Caracas for years, but I had never been to the national cemetery or the mausoleum before. Coincidentally, on Sunday after mass, I don't know how we got there, but we passed by the vicinity of the cemetery and observed that the doors were open and access to its spaces was free.

Todos los años que llevo viviendo aquí en Caracas, nunca antes había entrado al panteón nacional ni al mausoleo. Casualmente, el día domingo después de ir a misa, no sé como llegamos allí, pero pasamos por las inmediaciones del panteón y observamos que las puertas estaban abiertas y el acceso a sus espacios era libre.

We were immediately excited about the possibility of entering, we went directly to the main entrance and I was amazed. Seeing the drawings that adorn the ceiling, which I had always seen in history books, was incredible. Their details are really beautiful and impressive.

Inmediatamente, nos emocionamos con la posibilidad de entrar, fuimos directo a la entrada principal y yo quedé maravillada. Ver los dibujos que engalanan el techo, los cuales siempre había observado en libros de historia, fue increíble. Sus detalles son realmente hermosos e imponentes.

Each space there houses the forerunners of our country and the aura of the place is one of solemnity and absolute respect. There are three tough women there who are an invaluable legacy to our national identity. Each forerunner and hero of the nation has its place and is worthy of recognition.

Cada espacio allí alberga los próceres de nuestro país y el aura del lugar es de solemnidad y respeto absoluto. Allí están tres mujeres aguerridas y que son un legado invaluable para nuestra identidad nacional. Cada prócer y heroína de la nación tiene su lugar y es meritorio su reconocimiento.

What impacted me the most was the mausoleum where our Liberator Simon Bolivar is located. The height of this place is 52 meters and it has the shape of a sail of a ship, it is really amazing to be inside. It is a space guarded 24 hours a day by a beautiful military guard. Everything is so carefully taken care of and well guarded. Both my son and Martha and I enjoyed this incredible visit to this beautiful place.

Eso sí, lo que más me dejó impactada fue el mausoleo donde se encuentra nuestro Libertador Simón Bolívar. La altura de este lugar es de 52 metros y tiene forma de vela de un barco, es realmente impactante estar allí dentro. Es un espacio custodiado las 24 horas del día por un grupo de guardia de honor de traje Militar hermoso. Todo es tan especialmente cuidado y bien custodiado. Tanto mi hijo, como Martha y yo disfrutamos muchísimo, esta visita increíble a este hermoso lugar.

You can't imagine how happy we were to be able to visit these such significant structures for the history of a country that owes so much to the forerunners of our freedom. I felt wonderful, more so because they took into account people with mobility difficulties and there is an electric ramp that supports and includes people in wheelchairs.

No sé imaginan lo feliz que fuimos al poder visitar, estás estructuras tan significativas para la historia de un país que le debe tanto a los precursores de nuestra libertad. Yo me sentí maravillada, más por el hecho de que tomaron en cuenta a las personas con dificultades para movilizarse y existe una rampa eléctrica que apoya e incluye a las personas en sillas de ruedas.

In short, this place is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 9 to 2 in the afternoon and admission is free. You can take pictures without flash. It seems like a good plan to share a day of history with the kids, family and friends.

En fin, este lugar está abierto de miércoles a domingo de 9 a 2 de la tarde y es gratuita su entrada. Se pueden tomar fotos sin flash. Me parece un buen plan para compartir un día de historia con los chamos, familia y amigos.
