Inktober 2023: Day 2 - Spider

Here is my entry for Inktober drawing challenge day 2. I am still trying to catch up though.

The theme for today is "Spider" so I made a digital drawing of a black spider with ink tools. The spider is walking in an all white background with its shadow reflecting on that ground.

Looking closely, you would notice the spider had only one eye which is located at the center of its forehead.

This piece was done with AutoDesk sketchbook application and aided with an S-pen. Here are my steps.

Beautiful tarantula. Are there any wild ones where you live?

Haha, you got the name right👍
Sure, they are but are rare unless I head into the far bush or farm.

Here in Germany, where I live, we don't have any big spiders and none that are really poisonous, and yet most people are afraid of these. 😅

Sure, one gets to be afraid of some 9f them because of their crazy eyes. They look dangerous. Some of those giant spiders can kill some snakes

Thats true, they really are predators...
There is a scifi audio book that I recently listened to and I can only recommend it. It's so thrilling and about spiders that have evolved into an intelligent species...
Its called "Children of the Time" from Adrian Tchaikovsky.
If you like sci-fi, this will be a really good book for you. One of the best sci-fi books i have read/ listen to. 😉
